Punk and New Wave thread.

I believe Martin Hannett is aka Martin Zero who does some interesting YouTube vlogs on the history of Manchester and surrounding areas. I could be wrong though.
Hopelessly wrong, mainly because Martin Hannett passed away in April 1991.....

Martin Zero, the youtuber (I watch each of his videos) admits to taking his name from Hannett's moniker.

A mention for The Damned gig at Wembley on Saturday. A decent turnout though not full with some pretty good support from The Courettes, Peter Hook & The Light and Marc Almond & The Loveless. Never thought I'd hear Love Missile F1-11 live!

The Damned did a near 2 hour set with an amusing 70s intermission. Sound was good and I enjoyed the setlist which as you may imagine was pretty varied. Not the best I've seen them but for a bunch of around 70 year olds it was well worth the money.

Yeah I really enjoyed every band
Was in there five and a half hours but it didn't feel like it

Wonder if AF will play Public Assistance for Morrissey's sake.

One of my favourite and most listened to albums of all time. Never got to see The Ramones, but finally went to see marky's blitzkreig at the academy 3 back in january with my daughter, who has grown up with them (especially the three albums with tommy) and it was something else. as was his crap wig, but that's another story.

First three albums are gold
Probably my favourite band besides the Chameleons
Was lucky enough to see them with Dee Dee in late '87 at Manchester International II just before he left
