They can clear up pretty quickly. I’m not saying they will, but it does happen.

Fans are now being allowed back into the Inter & Co stadium having had to wait in the concourses because of the lightning.

There will be a pitch inspection in the next 10 minutes and then a kick-off time will be confirmed.

Reminds me of using the pools at Disney World.

When the lifeguard cleared us out of the pool, after 20 minutes of blue sky, I asked when we were getting back in. He explained that everytime there is a lightning strike in some county a few miles away, the 30 minute clock is reset. That’s what will happen with matches interrupted or delayed due to lightning strikes.

it happens at alton towers. you’re there in mid summer british dullish but relatively bright cloudy sky and they announce that theres a possibility of an electrical storm like 25 miles away so they’ve turned all the rides of and your like fuccccckkk offf
 
Just seen a few of the take aways from infantinos interview, sounds like he's gone full Trump.

"I don't know who else would be able to ensure Iran could come and play" given they're only at war with USA and Israel I'm guessing the answer to that is literally every other country bar them.

Claimed the extortionate prices are so they don't end up on the black market. So instead of putting safeguards in place to stop or limit touting and at least give a chance of affordable tickets to genuine fans, they're just cutting straight to pricing everybody out themselves.

And his response to the somali ref being denied entry, he said "Sometimes it's good to relax and chill." staggering.

Hopefully he has plenty of time to relax and chill soon when he's lost his presidency. Got to be some prick to be worse than Blatter.
 
Not enthused for this one at all.

I remember there was a 'feel' and an atmosphere around 1998, 2002 and even 2010.

This one feels just so....meh. It hasn't captured the imagination, passion or occasion of the World Cup. It feels like some bland, over sponsored, nothing friendlies tournament.
