Following on from PB and Dave..

In no order...

1. Wembley 99

2. Blackburn 2000, how we won 4-1 that day is a mystery after them hitting the woodwork everytime they attacked & we had a pitch invasion the game before at Maine Road and we'd have looked like wankers if we didn't end up getting promoted.

3. FA cup semi and final this season (going to count them both as one.)

4. Blackburn at Maine Road, 2-0 down, Tiatto sent off, we make it 2-2, great game.

5. Pitch invasion - Birmingham at home 2000.

These are personal highs of mine, obviously there has been more important results than a few I've mentioned...but this is just when I've felt the ultimate high as a Blue.

1) Winning the FA Cup in 2011
2) Gillingham 99
3) Beating Blackburn 4-1 to get promoted in 2000
4) Beating United 4-1 in the Derby
5) Beating Tottenham 5-2 when they had Klinsmann

Rags away in 68 1-3
Newcastle away 68 3-4
FA Cup Semi Villa Park 69 1-0 to the Blues v Everton
Gillingham Playoff Final 99
FA Cup Semi Final City 1 Rags 0

1. First game at City, vs. United, 2006-07 season. Meaningful as it'd been television and everything, to be there and taste it firsthand was amazing, even if we did lose 1-0. :(
2. FA Cup Final 2011. Explains itself, first trophy I have seen us win and just an amazing thing.
3. FA Cup Semi Final 2011. I was at this game, great atmosphere and to beat United to get to the final and their reactions afterwards was priceless.
4. City vs. United, 2007-08. First game I saw us win, Geovanni will hold a special place for me, as the first goalscorer I saw for City etc.
5. City vs. United, 2002-03 season. Strangely remember this game, even though I was only 7 years old, was great to see.

I haven't added any that are around the same time as the 5th, as I can't remember them really, odd that I can with that one though true. Obviously I'm probably forgetting a key game or two, but off the top of my head the ones that come straight to mind are those.

1) Gillingham Play-off
2) FA Cup semi 2011
3) FA Cup Final 2011
4) Barcelona opener for COMs. We take the ground for granted.
5) Blackburn away promotion

Denis Law's backheeler in the abandoned OT derby.

FA cup win 2011

FA cup semi 2011

League cup win 1976

2-1 win at Elland Rd, FA cup 3rd round 77-78.

FA Cup Final '11
Play-Off Final '99
Anything Balotelli does
City vs. United '02 (Goater's goal)
The 4-2 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last year

in that order.

1. Winning a trophy. (2011)

2. Wembley 1999. Unreal.

3. Beating the scum 1-0 at Wembley after hearing them spout shit from the moment I stepped off the coach. Literally. Horrid horrid creatures.

4. Tony Vaughan's goal against Bradford in the last minute in 1998.

5. Caicedo's 2nd goal against Hamburg which was disallowed. I went absolutely crazy. Joint with Robinho's first goal against Chelsea. Never celebrated a goal so much in my life, I honestly thought we'd win the league. False dawns!

So few to choose from!

1) Gillingham 1999
2) Semi/Final 2011
3) Charlton Promotion 5-1
4) Huddersfield 10-1
5) Rags 5-1

Sweeps goal against the scum, delirium, insult added to injury

Ratboy feeds the Goat, so so sweet to see that cunts face after the goal went in

Benjani's goal against them again and at the swamp ha ha Benjani for fucks sake!

The moment me and my Dad, who is to blame for all of this, realised that Yaya's shot had hit the back of the net in the semi and the lads doing the Poznan after the final whistle, made me weep with joy

Seeing all of them up there collecting the trophy at the final and realising that nothing, nothing, would ever be the same

1. FA cup final 2011
2. FA cup semi final (close call not to be first was a top day but winning the cup takes it!!)
3. Last derby at Maine Road 3 - 1 (first ever derby i went to)
4. Last game at Maine Road (horrible in a way still miss Maine Road, bittersweet)
5. Play off semi against Wigan at Maine Road (didnt get a ticket for the final)

1. The FA Cup win over Leicester City in 1969.

2. The 3-1 win at Old Trafford after being one down that turned the tide in the 1968 League title race.

3. The 4-3 win at Newcastle to take the championship in 1968.

4. The win over Gornik at the Prata Stadium in Vienna in 1970.

5. The Denis Law backheel at Old Trafford in 1974 making six wins and one draw in seven League visits to the swamp.

Events of this year not considered.

5) Manchester City 1 Spurs 1 August 1995 - Kinkladze's debut
I'd been going to City a few seasons at this point, but I'd never seen anything close to the talent of one Georgi Kinkladze. In those days if you went to Platt Lane to watch City train you could virtually join in! I'd been down a week or so before and Francis Lee was walking round like the cat that had got the cream, telling anyone who'd listen what a talent Kinkladze was. He looked awesome in training, but that summer day against Spurs he was breathtaking. I remember meeting Stuart Hall after the game and he said ''the rest will need a microchip in their brains to keep up with him'' - he was right.

4) City v Gillingham Divison 2 play off final 1999
I posted in the ''lows'' thread, that 2-0 to Gillingham was one of my lowest moments. Well the feeling I got when Dickov scored the equaliser was definitely one of the highs. Usually I'd fear penalties as much as the next man, but by the time they came round the Gillingham players were so flat I could only see us winning. Weaver running round like a nutter was amazing to see as well.

3) Blackburn v City 2000, winning promotion back to the Premier League
Unfortunately I wasn't one of the blues at Ewood Park that day, but I was watching it on TV (black and white TV as my screen broke that morning!) and I remember Blackburn hitting the woodwork time and time again. They took the lead and it looked like we were going to have to battle it out through the play offs, then with 30 minutes left Goater scored to make it 1-1. The rest as they say is history. I love Mark Kennedy running to Joe Royle and you can lip read Royle saying ''Mark, you beauty'' - the fans invading the pitch, the celebrations...and knowing that City were finally back in the Premier League!

2) The whole of the 2001/2002 season.
From the moment KK took charge, the signings of Berkovic, then Bernarbia, the football we played was breath taking. It was great when we knocked Ipswich out of the FA Cup, after being relegated there the season before. Berkovic's goal in that game was special. We played the best football in the league, better than many premier league clubs, and it coincided with the collapse of ITV Digital - who were flogging a dead horse, so in order to boost ratings they showed virtually every City game in the second half of the season. Not only were we battering teams and setting records for points and goals in a season but we pretty much had our own TV station that season!

1) The FA Cup Final v Stoke in the 2011 Cup Final.
I'd never seen City in a cup final before and we'd been the better team all game, it was just a matter of taking one chance... then up stepped Yaya Toure to shatter the 35 years without a trophy. I've enjoyed every City goal, but the feeling inside when this one went in...wow. Then the emotion leading up to the Final whistle, I've never known a football crowd wanting something as badly as the blues at Wembley that day, when the whistle sounded it was simply incredible.
