Here's mine
1) Promotion 89', Bradford. I was at Maine Road for the Bournmouth 3-3 after being 3-0 up! Thought City were just a load of b**tards that day and not for the first time! As ever they knock you down to pick you up.... eventually!
2) That September day in 2008. Still remember listening to the Five Live lunchtime news when the business editor I think, remarked that the ADU were rich... extreamly rich, I think he remarked that "this could change English football". The rest of that day, Robinho, the Berbaflop chase, making the other lot up the price etc. What a laugh!
3) Wembley 99. Just so City in every way.
4) Maine Rd 3-1 against the other lot. Class bit of inter-play between Neville and Goater, cheers Phil! Also recall punching a hole through a palsterborad partition at home during the 5-1!
5) The last 3-weeks. Cheers lads.

Surprised no-one has mentioned humping Utd 4-0 in League Cup on way to Wembley win...obviously showing my age there.
Other 4 would be predictable, Utd semi this year and the Final, my first City game beating Derby 4-3 at Maine Road a couple of weeks after the 76 Final and the 5-1 derby win.

1.) Wembley 99
2.) Wembley 11
3.) 1-0 and 2-1 in the Sven season
4.) Sheikh Mansour arriving
5.) Winning the first match I attended

in no particular order

1. winning FA cup 2011
2. winning FA cup 2011
3. winning FA cup 2011
4. winning FA cup 2011
5. beating scum semi 2011

You could argue that the Gillingham match was more important. Had we not won then the Club may have struggled for many seasons.

Losing to Stoke would've been poor but we'd have come back stronger next season.

It's putting the matches in to context.

I love 99 and 2011 for different reasons. 99 because it was the first time I'd seen us acheive anything, and 2011, because it was the first time I'd seen us win a major honour

FA Cup Final 2011,The 5-1 at Maine Road,Gillingham 1999,Blackburn2000,and Semi at Wembley.Subs..David White 4 goals at Villa,Their special day 2008 2-1,loads of brilliant away days, thank you City for being the most infuriating, best, worst, team I have ever seen in my life. Wouldn't change it for the world. And things are only gonna get better!

Perhaps time to re- vist this thread!

What are your top 5 City moments.?

Off the top of my head.

1. My first ever City match, away at Forest 1980.I was a teenager who'd supported the blues, from afar since 1976.I was in the ground at 1.30pm for a 3pm k.o.stood alone on the home terrace When Big Joe a Ray Ranson and Willie Donachieran out... for the warm up...my heart skipped a beat,so excited.
We lost 4nil,Trevor Francis hat trick......but I'd finally seen City live.

2.Paul Powers brilliant solo goal at Ac Milan,1978,...he ran from his own pen box on the counter ,down the right wing at speed, cut in on his favoured left foot and smashed the ball home.
Ended 2-2 and we destroyed Milan 3nil in the 2nd leg of the UEFA cup tie.

3.Gundogs superb volley v utd Fa cup final. What a goal!!

4.Beating utd 6-1 at old trafford- will never forget the feeling as Balotelli calmly pushed the ball into the net right in front of the Stretford end.i swear there was a moments silence/ disbelief before we all went ballistic..

5.Paul Powers free kick against Ipswich Town villa Park 1981.I was only listening to radio commentary .but .what a moment.

Honorary mention to the quarter final tie, away at Everton ,again I wasn't there, but the last ,min equaliser from that man Paul Power.lofting the ball over the Everton keeper with the last kick of the game to give us a deserved 2-2 draw, my lucky radio played a part in our cup run of 81!!
