Belle Vue on a Friday night when I was 16. The upstairs used to have a ballroom dancing club going on and the ladies doing the ballroom dancing used to come in afterwards looking for the young blokes. Bamford Squash club in Heywood? Loved it in there. My first job was in there, glass collecting. Think I was on a whopping £2.15 an hour.
Anyway, first club will have been Spibs in Heywood. Think I was about 14/15.

A old mate of mine ( ended up as the drummer of Leftfield ) used to have a night ( punk, Bowie , early electronic etc) on at a gay club on Margate seafront @ '80/'81 , can't for the life of me think of the name of the place.

Was 15... It was my sisters bday she was 19 and my older cousins took me in and I has about 4 pints sniff of barmaids apron and u was hammered... Cousins had to take me home in a taxi and put me in bed

Ah yes i used to go when it was previously called Rebecca's, your right though it was a shithole, the ladies toilets used to flood they were disgusting...still it was never as bad as that place round the corner over the fish market

My debut was made at the roxy (bury). Did some serious damage in there as a teenager.
No-one do Benny's/phillips park hall?

Thats it although i remember it as Topaz, vile little place
Went in Benny's once then refused to go again just because Bryan Robson either owned/co-owned it...too poncey for me was full of poser's
