Haha yes it is.

This years 'Hitler look-a-like' winner.....................looks more like he's at a 'rally' than a football match.

Coventry City away, first match of season in 1985, we drew 1-1. Sammy Mcllroy scored on his debut.

We landed at Ringway from Benidorm, had a fry up and got on Maynes's ,I slept all the way down.
My mate was slagging McCllroy off all afternoon and some bloke says that will shut you up,cue blue on blue violence.
Top day out in a shit ground, with shit fans .

Highfield Road?

Great examples of the casual look in the foreground there. Is that the City seats you are sat in?

Yes in City seats, with the rest in the cage on far side!

You can tell. Looks like you're in the middle of the Mayne Line boys there. That's the era when plain round neck jumpers, little City pin badges and hair getting longer, sometimes permed at the back, was in. Dungarees and bennetton jumpers were big around this time too.

Brilliant pic. I've got another from that game somewhere showing everyone going mad after the goal. Give me a minute.

Bit before I started following City that match mate. My first away was at Highfield Road, but it was later on than that, last season of the Barclays League or first season of the Prem, can't remember.

That barrier wasn't painted black at the top it was fukin vandal grease as i found out when Mclroy scored ruined all my clothes

I saw a beauty a few months ago from this very game. The players are celebrating in front of the City end and you can see every fact in sharp focus. It seems to have vanished though.

Love photos like this, taken by fans. The rarity value makes them all the more special as there were no mobiles or digital cameras then so there were only very few fans who took cameras to games, it didn't even cross my mind to do so at that time.

Couldn't see myself on the pic but must have been very near the guy who took the photo.

Actually, i've just remembered. I've got a whole roll of film in my drawer, some taken from that exact spot (when it was the Cov end) and many taken of City fans singning in the pub beforehand. They are from the FA Cup game there in 1996 where they scored in the last minute.

Would anyone like them scanning and putting up here, see if you can recognise yourself in the pub?
