I honestly can't remember people taking camera's to football back in the day before mobile phones, or the ones with cameras on at least. Different now as a camera phone is as common as fuck, but back in the day I think it would have been a bit strange to pull out a camera and take pictures of each other on the piss at the footie.

well i used to! took a camera to every match ive been to since the early 90s, but then again i am into photography. Its a good job for historians that people did take cameras before stupid phones existed!

And fair play to you my friend. The lads I used to go with to the match, if one of us had taken a camera out I think it would have ended in A) in bits on the floor, and B) us not living it down to this day :-)
