Fernandinho transfer fee

I know very little of this guy. Telegraph are saying £22m, Sky (pffft) saying £34. Please don't tell we are paying £34m for a 28 year old.

Can anyone pacify me fears that this guy is worth the higher amount given that we only paid £24m for Yaya

I'll help. People much smarter than you and me have figured out the price. No matter what it is, don't worry, we wouldn't do it if we can't afford it. Relax and enjoy.

A good start to the window.

Navas is the winger we have been crying out for for the past three seasons.

Fernandinho will energise out midfield. Barry has been a loyal servant but him and Yaya are too slow as a partnership.

I just hope we can secure Isco and Cavani in the next week or so. These are the big two for me, the difference between finishing second and first.

See a shrink...then you can pay some real money

I'm absolutely sure that Isco will sign and probably Cavani as well. With Txiki you get the feeling that there is no chance he will let his targets slip.

Can see about 1-3 more signings after that, CB and possibly another CM.

Goal.com reported a couple weeks back that City were after Fernandinho, Edinson Cavani, Isco, Thiago, Diego Novaretti and Jesus Navas.... I always thought goal.com were shit... it seems they're on the ball these days.

Edit: If they are right on Novaretti, a defender that plays in MEXICO, i will never doubt them again. That one is way out there.

Yup, but just can't see Thiago happening unless one of Garcia or Barry is sold (hopefully Garcia). Otherwise there is no room for him.

And let's see if the Novaretti link is true. Been quiet on him.

I reckon there are 7 targets:

Striker: Cavani (Backup: Keep Tevez and Dzeko)
Winger: Navas CHECK
Attacking Midfielder: Isco (Backups: Bernard)
Central Midfielder: Fernandinho CHECK
Central Midfielder: Thiago (Backups: Pizarro, Benat)
Centre Back: Pepe (Backups: Marquinhos, Novaretti, Papadopoulos)
Back up Goalie

a bit wild and a lot of guesswork, but I think the list isn't far off this
