Known Issues - New Forum

Hello all,

Please let me know if you encounter any bugs with the forum software that are NOT listed below. I'll cross them off as we deal with them over the next few days.

  • Some users may experience a blank page when visiting the forum, or on Chrome a NX_DOMAIN error. This is normal and outside of our control. It will be fixed within 72 hours.
  • Some users who had a comma in their username have had it removed.
  • There are problems with the parsing of old links and video files. The [video] tag is deprecated and now replaced with the [media] tag. We will be making alterations to fix older posts within a few days.
  • Some users may experience issues around staying logged in. Please ensure that you have ticked the "Stay Logged In" button when logging in.
  • User permissions need a slight tweak, you may be placed in the moderation queue when you have posted. This is nothing that you have done and is a bug on our end.
  • The forum may display a TapaTalk message on mobile devices repeatedly. We are actively working to remove this and will be fixed probably today.

Please only post BUGS in this thread. Bugs are issues with the software or the configuration of it from our end.
 
Not sure if it's a bug but i can't start a new conversation in pm's or delete any old ones in my inbox
Posting fine so not in the approve queue
 
I've got an alert that keeps popping up from 6.23pm, even though I've clicked it, it pops up every time I go to the forum index.
 
Not at present. We're really hoping that we can find a happy middle ground between the old and new but @Ric is actively scouting posts like this so he can make changes to the main one. I'm more of the "how things work" guy where Ric is more the "how things look" guy. It's important that people say what they like and don't like though, the main thread is over here:

Oh no, don't be daft. We really do need people to talk and really do appreciate when people do, especially lads like yourself who have been here for a bit. We're quietly positive but this isn't the finished article but instead the ape-like form of Bluemoon that we hope with the help of users will evolve into a properly functioning human over the next few days and weeks.
 
In pm's have we lost the outbox so we can see if someone has read your message?
Also the inbox no longer tells you who your messages are from,you have to look at every message to see who sent it,small things i know but i use pm a lot

We've lost the outbox and I'm not entirely sure yet how to build it back in. You'll have to leave that one with me. The conversations page should tell you who you are in the conversation with? Alerts should tell you the specific person who posted :)

Thanks,i will have to play about with the alerts a bit more
 
Was having trouble with talk talk before .managed to run it for about an hour now.have you done something your end mate and fixed it ?
