The FBI would have been waiting for him the moment he touched down in Canada as they have a mutual arrangement for no death penalty facing offences. Hopefully though, this won't be enough for the FBI who are clearly out to nobble the Russians and in doing so will target Qatar and Twatergill!

I just think whoever goes up for election from UEFA better have some decent proposals for the overall would game and it's regions because they don't stand a chance otherwise.

The rest of the world don't want UEFA to centralise all the power and that's one of the main reasons Blatter got voted in again.

Unfortunately true. I bet there's all sorts of legal agreements that would make it impossible for FIFA to move the World Cup without bankrupting themselves. Pretty ridiculous if the votes were corrupt, but I bet they've covered themselves against spending shitloads of money and getting it taken off them.
 
I don't think the other countries will vote for a european candidate or anyone they see as being promoted by UEFA.
 
Tim Vickery pretty much sums it up from a non-European view in my opinion.

Blatter had the likes of CONMEBOL, CAF, AFC, OFC and parts of CONCACAF in his pocket because of his global vision for the game regardless of any corruption, so unless a UEFA candidate can put a vision for the whole world game and make it fair then none of them stand a chance because all the other regions other than UEFA will just see that candidate as potentially wanting to centralise all the power to UEFA.

It was reported even Spain, France and Russia voted Blatter the there day so any UEFA based candidates will have their work cut out convincing a lot of nations.
