Do you think all this talk about City going back and forth with Liverpool over increased bids was just nonsense and that a outline deal is already done?

£29m for a pretty much unknown forward (I hadn't heard of him before this Summer) puts all the hoo-hah over £40m for Sterling into perspective.

Smacks of desperation this one,however he may be a great player who knows,but I never get guided by stats when I see where he's been plying his trade,not the most competetive league in Europe,on a par with Scotland I would say,but 29m ? they must have sold Sterling to us now

Interesting choice of vocabulary Sly News are using to describe this. The brutal truth, they are saying, is there won't be room for Sterling and time is running out for him at Klanfield. Whaaaaa????

Well if we had paid 40 mil for Sterling, take away the money they owe QPR, & they have just spent it.

Hi Marvin, with Liverpool agreeing to buy Firmino...I'd be surprised if we don't hear something soon...Firmino will most likely fill "Sterling's role" on that team so would make sense for them to have got that done before selling Sterling....all the press were very quick to report our 1st and 2nd bids but nothing since....so either that 3rd bid hasn't gone in yet or deal is done and everyone waiting for Liverpool or City to confirm an agreement has been found...With the reports that Sterling had returned home early from his holiday, I would expect this deal to be close.....lets hope we hear something soon.....transfer window hasn't officially opened yet but deals are getting done....

We may be waiting on Wenger giving his authorisation.
 
I think the reason his holiday was cut short was to avoid any other hick ups so to speak,of what he mite get upto whilst out there,safety move I reckon from his agent
 
Really want this one done ASAP. Hopefully it's just a matter of time.

If we can get Raheem, De Bruyne and (hopefully) Pogba, we'll have had an unbelievable transfer window!

It's funny how easily the Liverpool fans are swayed, they've been absolutely raving about him for years.

Sterling was their best player last season by a mile. Coutinho may have hit three or four worldy strikes, but Sterling was the main man. At aged 20.
