Can we ignore the plastic rag and not give him the oxygen he craves?

The Fox story is obviously drawn from Jamie Jackson's troll piece in the Grauniad, in which he stated that Sterling wanted a United move.

There has never been any evidence that Sterling was a childhood rag, his apparent desire to come here would certainly suggest otherwise - much to our resident rag's annoyance no doubt.

Don't let the new bitters try and take the sheen of a big impending signing, they're tragic like that.

Whilst I think Sterling would be an ideal signing for us, it wouldn't be the end of the world if Arsenal got him.

Both Walcott and Ox have nowhere near fulfilled their potential at Arsenal. Also, a fast pacy winger is the last position they need to strengthen. The stubborn old w***** could have one of the best sides in Europe if he added the quality in the right positions.

If they spend £40 million on Sterling then it means less money getting the players they need.

And aside from being young and homegrown, there are plenty of players who we could get who are as good as or if not better than Sterling for around a similar price.

Di Maria, Griezmann and even Reus would all be available for not much more than 40 million.

Agreed, someone like Marco Reus would represent more value for money than Sterling.
