City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

UEFA have sent out a media briefing document which I've got. Will stick it up on here late tonight when I get home for anyone who is interested in the changes.

It basically confirms they are bent bastards who are made a loophole for clubs like Inter whilst doing their best to continue to limit us and PSG.

As someone on a previous page says though. Since we are profitable this summer and under no restrictions we can spend at will and then amortise the fees. We could spend 200 million and still not lose the 45 million limit.

Remember this is diff to the net spend limits which don't allow you to amortise fees for UEFA's purposes.

you mean like all the itk's and know alls were saying approx a year ago?

I think the difference first time round was that it was largely theoretical and subject to shifting goalposts and interpretation whereas the agreement we have now was hammered out with the lawyers and (hopefully) with little wriggle room.

City seem relaxed and we are in for top tier players so no real need to worry except for the fact, like everyone else, I don't trust UEFA.

I don't give a shit about FFP, I just want to see gill platini and rubber knickers in orange jumpsuits hobbling in chains, in my eyes a lot of the guys on here know that gill is behind a lot of this, that is what hurts, a more smarmy creeping shithouse as ever been involved in football I've yet to see.

Of course UEFA want to help Milan and Inter. They are historically legendary clubs and I imagine the powers that be want to give them and indirectly Seria A a boost. But it quite obviously reeks of nepotism and I imagine City will have no problem driving a coach and horse through these rules given how we were treated. These restrictions wouldn't exist in any normal business and to have such an about turn looks very corrupt.

I am sure we will just do what we want and see them in court in the unlikely event this is not sorted out behind closed doors.

The agenda setting twats at UEFA are no longer being very realistic if they think they can win this one. May they kill themselves trying.

But what does all this mean for this summer?

If they restrict our spending this year we are proper screwed!
As Popeye used to say 'I've stands all I can stand & I can't stands no more' ........ Time to take the gloves off and no more biting the bullet and taking the hit....... If they come down on us this time we have to fight!

Geniune question please:
My understanding of all this is that we were punished last season for allegedly breaking the rules and fined £49m but that was reduced to an initial £16m if we complied with the restriction but that we would pay the balance if we didn't comply. If we assume that twatini and co. decide that FFPR will be relaxed but not in our favour as they seem to be prepared to do, it means that they will again impose sanctions if we 'fail' in their assessment but if we do pass, then we are free to start another spending spree provided that whatever we spend would be in line with revenues come end of the year. Question number one: is the above line of thought accurate? Question #2, when will they carry out their assessment on us and PSG to verify whether we complied with the last set of rules imposed?
