City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

I would think Sheikh Mansour was somewhat miffed last year, being told by little gobshites like Platini that he couldn't invest what he wanted in one of his business interests.

Now the little gobshites at UEFA have bottled it, as expected, our esteemed owner can again spend whatever he likes, on our club. Enjoy that.

Exactly! The post had a lot of jargons so I couldn't make anything out of it except that according to him we couldn't spend more than more than £75m and since I didn't see any post refuting this I thought it necessary to at least find out what other bluemooners (perhaps the ones that understood the post better than me) had to say about it.
He's talking about PSG.

Possibly true. We might have decided to say bollocks to it on the basis that it's falling apart and likely won't exist in its current form for very much longer.

Not likely. From what Dupont has said about UEFA dragging their heels it could be 2020 before this court case is resolved.

We will still be looking to comply.

One of the reasons we will be able to splash out is the increased CL revenue. Last season for qualifying for the group stage we got around £20m, this season we will get closer to £40m.

That £20m means we could spend on players totalling £100m placing them all on 5 year contracts and through amortisation works out at £20m a year. That's without us doing any work to increase revenues as its already guaranteed

Did I read right that our £16m fine from 13/14 gets returned to us if we meet targets?

I was under the misguided impression that it did get returned. Oh well, I'm sure the scousers can live with a minor inaccuracy like that when the rest of what I wrote was pretty much the bullseye in terms of where we are and where they are heading.

Credit to the anfield wrap and Rob Gutman for having the bollocks to put it up.

No, he got that bit wrong entirely. We don't pay the rest of the £49 million.

Missed the point completely.. Educate the uneducated that's what the op is doing... 9 out of 10 people believe what the rag media pump out..
If you mean I missed the point then no I didn't, it was just a reply to Moomba. The article was very good but he was still wrong in that particular instance, I'd rather we had correct facts out there about us.

Ah, that was you was it? Very good piece, I enjoyed that.

Picking at small things in an Email he sent which was then put before the masses is in my eyes missing the point he nailed everything else in his response and kudos to him for not letting it get lost in the world of twitter sending it by way of Email very cunning...
Respect AKA Ahsan Naeem!!

You may well be right in the end once Dupont has finished about the 16mil:)

I'll try once more. I wasn't "picking" at anything, Moomba asked a question based on the article, I (and someone else later) pointed out that we don't get the £16million back. I can't see where your confusion is on it.

It was a good piece overall and eloquently put. Fair play to him for taking it in and changing his opinion on us somewhat as a result - not the easiest thing for an opposition fan to do.

That's hilarious. Can't even get the name right.

Oh and despite what Falastur seems to think in his Wikipedia entry that he has consistently refused to change, ADUG are a holding company and have no other business outside of being the parent company of City/CFG. They are no different from any other holding company in the game

Maybe because you're always quick to correct rather than Congratulate.. You wrote I'd rather we had correct facts out there about us..

It was a little misconception FFS, he's fighting the good fight this is my only gripe..I'll say no more:)

Yeah, I'd not even got round to mentioning Fiszman's investment in the club. Jambug is the last man standing on that thread - I think all the others have been scared off - and although he talks sense on other matters he's showing a blatant lack of self awareness on this. I've played more than fair with him by acknowledging we got lucky with the investment which gave us a significant advantage, but any mention of what Arsenal have got up to and he ignores it while launching another rant about how undeserved our success is. It's double standards, plain and simple.

Was it this?
I should point out that the £75m is a guesstimate maximum figure for PSG to stay within their settlement (excluding sales) - baring in mind how far away from break even they were and without a massive TV deal to help them.
Our guesstimate maximum is £150m + sales.
