Hi sam....in my opinion...if we don't make a new, improved 3rd offer, they have no reason to sell...I think its going to take atleast a 45mil plus add-ons to get this deal done....If Pelle, Txiki and our scouts think he's the guy and we've already offered 40mil.....no reason to hold off that 3rd offer now! Strange that Liverpool put this out in the media (reported in the Liverpool echo)...maybe they asking City to hurry up with their offer!;)

I agree to be honest. Offer £45m with £5m extras and get him signed!
 
Yep agree lets get these deals done now (and maybe they already have behind closed doors) but if not then just go in and get Sterling, DeBruyne and Pogba nd get them on the pre-season tour asap
 
If this is true, maybe Liverpool already looking for Sterling replacement...

UK radio station Talksport reported on Tuesday that Napoli winger Dries Mertens will reject Liverpool if they come calling for him as he wants to play Champions League football. It is believed that the agent of the Belgian star went on Italian radio and said that Mertens will not go to Liverpool and Naples was ‘close to his heart’. This could be a huge blow for Liverpool as Raheem Sterling looks set to leave the club for Manchester City in the coming weeks.
 
Maybe city expected sterling to hand in an official transfer request might be a bit miffed he never?
 
I'd be very surprised if we went into next season with navas, nasri, silva, kdb, sterling and lopes on our books not to mention the 2 kids that play for the eds!

City will be fully aware of what is going on. They've been working on this long enough and will know exactly how Sterling and his agent are going to play it.
 
I say use the £50m to give us all free season tickets for the next few years and take a chance on a few academy players. Is he Sturridge in disguise.
