I for one, am happy he's "changed his mind" after seeing his dismal performance in the FA Cup final, against a decent team, he bottled it every time he got anywhere promising, God knows what we saw in him
You have to admire their alacrity at crawling out from under their rocks at such short notice.
much admired by some of the caledonians on this board<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/watch/tv-...-cristiano-ronaldo-according-to-graham-hunter" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/watch/tv-show ... ham-hunter</a>
How reliable is Hunter, does he have his finger on the pulse and sources at City? he obviously works for Sky so is considered respectable..
It's quite the opposite of bottling it, he's chose to captain and star in a team he recently signed a new contract with in the year leading into the Euros.
Rather than come to City in a squad player role.
Absolutely correct. Good luck to him.Respect to the lad.
He's obviously true to Villa which is a rarity nowadays.
Because it's still early days, and I'd rather judge the success of our transfer policy when the window is closed, not before we've bought anyone. As a 'confirmed flapper' this will get a bit of stick: But the blind optimism of some on here is just as bad as the pessimism I'm sometimes guilty of.
Serious question to the optimistic, here:
The portent of this signing going to shit is foreboding and ominous. How are your alarm bells not ringing that the summer is going the way of 2012?
Do you actually believe we'll win the "premiership" with the current squad
Erm. This is awkward.
Easiest deal of the 4 collapsing, City playing silly buggers with Liverpool over £5m, City playing silly buggers with Juve, De Bruyne fuck knows what's happening. Yeah, it looks fucking peachy at present don't it?Because it's only the 11th of July?

Of course he bottled it. He obviously didn't think he was good enough to get enough game time and has chosen the path of least resistance, Big fish small pond.
It's not "blind optimism" though is it? It's having trust in our chairman to deliver on his comments made on the end of season review. As a 'confirmed flapper' this will get a bit of stick: But the blind optimism of some on here is just as bad as the pessimism I'm sometimes guilty of.

This current squad, plus Pogba, Sterling and De Bruyne will win the league.
Absolutely correct. Good luck to him.
And according to my neighbour who works for Villa, yes we did invoke the buyout clause to talk to him, but after thinking about it for a day he said no.
Because it's only the 11th of July?
Are you really that stupid. When they reported it as fact he had agreed, it was done. What part of "he changed his mind at the last minute" are you struggling to comprehend?

Harsh that mate. At least Txiki was able to agree a fee with the club. Granted he just had to trigger the contract clause but beggars can't be choosersGreat start by Txiki. Why even bother doing all the leg work without a cast iron garentee the player wants to come? Embarrassing.
