De Bruyne?

I hope we do get someone who can play a decent ball in. As well as Joey B did a few years back ;-)

What I said is correct though - percentage wise looking at individual teams and/or leagues.

Yeah fair enough, but so often the first goal is a corner or a ball delivered in, that it has a much bigger effect than the percentage suggests. If we start scoring from corners & other set pieces again, we will win more games because of it, as it is often that which breaks down a stubborn defence. If there was a way of calculating that as a percentage, imo it would be very high indeed.

I really hope we get DeBruyne, partially for that reason. Otherwise, we may have to watch another season of 'those' corners ;)

Irritation of work got in the work today - F5'ing on BM during a client powerpoint presentation not recommended - any movement at all? or do we think we waiting for the ink to dry on the Dzeko-follows-Jovetic-to-Italy deals

I actually recall reading the stat that we're one of the most successful teams, if not the most successful, from corners in recent seasons.

I read in a stats book (name escapes me, sorry, it has an orange cover) that corners are statistically way way less likely to lead to a goal than open play, but there's a misconception so every club fan base thinks their team is shit at corners.

Who scored the opener with a cracking shot in our last 2013/14 season match when we needed a win to guarantee a place as league winners when the Big Sam assured all that he'd try to derail our title hopes for Stevie G's sake and made good his word by lining up a hard-to-crack 3 man central defence and almost achieved his goal until Nasri broke the ice. While Samir is not the perfect player, his quality is very much okay for a city squad player. Navas is not city quality, guys.
I even recall when Silva was out injured for a protracted period in 2013/14, Samir stepped up and delivered absolutely. Let's be careful what we wish for.

i dont understand the hate either,

How many did we score last season? I can only remember one, and that was pretty much in one of the closing games of the season.

There is no misconception....we really are shite. Compared to the rags when every single one, without fail, went in. Off some fuckers 'ead. Or knee. Or arse.
