Personally and I'll probably get shit for it but lopes isn't good enough imo. Suits a Europa league club like the rags...

He might not be now but he could be good enough given the opportunity. He's got as much potential as any other player his age in Europe.

The person I know, who I've had 0 reason to doubt, still says that as of this morning: KDB, his girlfriend and agent all wanted the move and KDB was 'fed up' of Wolfsburg. If something has changed, it has to have been quite sudden. I'm still a little dubious myself, also gutted if he has done a 180. I am sure I will get slated, but I am not that disappointed.

One of the main reasons we have looked so good this season is we are playing with pace on both flanks, and nothing un-nerves defenders more than pace.

Although he would have been an upgrade on Navas, I would have preferred us to spend the money (and £50m is a lot of money) on someone with real threatening pace, and an end product.

We can't blame Txiki, clearly KDB didn't fancy the challenge in the end. His loss, we move on.
