Nothing really shocks me but that picture of the child refugee washed up on a Turkish beach has really shaken and upset me. I have a boy around the same age and its made me realize how lucky we are to live in a country where people are so desperate to escape they are willing to risk there lives like that

I'm not really into politics and I dont know really what's going on in Syria but this has confirmed to me what a crazy and messed up world we live in

Shocking for the young kid and his family, didn't know there was a full scale battle on the streets of Bodrum though
 
Really horrible shit. It was shown on the news later that same day, people were sun bathing on that beach.. where the boy washed up. I'm not saying they knew, but it's a horrible fucking thought anyway.
 
That photo is harrowing.

The whole refugee crisis is a tragic situation, and our government's response so far has been disgraceful.

This world is absolutely disgusting. The whole thing about being "british", "swedish" or whatever and saying "we don't need these immigrants, they'll fuck up our country" is what I hate most, I mean, you should be happy that you came out of your mother's pussy in britian. That's just pure luck, it doesn't mean this country is yours. Before you see them as a problem, immigrants or a danger to your counter just think about the fact that they're humans looking for peace.

Yeah changed that now. Sorry for the typo. My Mrs has just seen it and she started to well up she then went upstairs and gave our little lad a kiss. When 16 people think its safer to cross the sea in a dingy made for 4 rather than stay on land then something is very wrong
