What I just heard on Talk Sport (we get it in the afternoons over here on satellite radio) was that the offer from the rags is a 5 year deal with a £200K per week salary with the entire contract back dated one year so that De Gea would get about £8.4m in one lump sum payment that covers the difference between his existing contract and the new one. There would be a 50 Million Euro buyout. Essentially, the scum want to keep him but at the very worst, they want leverage in dealing with Real Madrid. This would translate into an almost £17m windfall for De Gea, which is a far cry less than what Madrid will pay to get him in January. This is only required because TT and Co. didn't take care of business.
Hilarious isn't it,incompetent doesn't cover it
We would be being crucified

I take your point but this is just natural progression. He arrived as a prospect and developed into a world class keeper who will be rewarded accordingly for that if he does sign.

He'll be rewarded when he signs alright. For Madrid.

If he signs I doubt it. Perez doesn't want to spend big money for a keeper and the fans like Navas a lot. The time for them to get him was this summer.

Anyway nothing has been signed yet.

Or next summer on a free.

He was still a prospect no matter how much we paid. I remember him being routinely mocked in the media by the same people who are probably praising him massively now.

You bought him?.........some **** told me he come through the academy......lying rag twat.

You are one deluded rag aren't you?You don't break the record fee for a keeper on the gamble he will make it lol! We signed Hart for £500 thousand as a prospect, albeit with add ons if he did and he has.He was mocked as he was a bit lightweight and shit on crosses but he was a good shot stopper even then.

Ok Falcao if we accept your view that as a British record for a keeper he was bought as a prospect I presume you will accept that we bought Raheem Sterling for £49m as a young prospect too - or as do different rules apply?

I guess though Sterling has proven himself in the league. It's big money but he will probably spend at least the majority of his career at City and I think it was a good signing overall.

De Gea was unproven here, spoke no English and hadn't physically filled out. It was a risk to make him the successor to Van der Sar.

He was routinely mocked cos he was shit!

Also, is Anthony Martial a "prospect" at 36 million!!!!

For 17.8million? I'm sure you can barely stand the wait to see how good whatsisname is going to become then!
The suspense is terrible. I hope it lasts.

This is all very fair comment tbf.

United fans have seemed to convince themselves that De Gay-boy has used Madrid in order to get a better contract. You know, after fucking him over all summer. Seems likely

It fucking was. When Dzeko hit the ball at him and he dived out of the way to make it 6-1 you must have wondered if he would play for you ever again.

Has any United Keeper ever got through four entire seasons before without a single clean sheet against City?

Ha ha - some of them take this football forum malarkey way too seriously ;)

This is how I see it. On RAWK you'll at least (sometimes) get some good and relatively balanced discussion about United. There's a lot of nonsense spouted that outweighs it of course but there's still that bit of insight to be found there. Bluemoon is just a massively unpleasant place to visit, virtually every United related post contains the word "rags" or some variation thereof and at least one other insult. I can't see why any rival fan would want to post there, it's an absolute cesspit. Makes me incredibly grateful that we have this place.
