Chelsea Thread (2015-16)

I'd prefer a draw between Arsenal and Chelsea and a loss for United. Then if we beat West Ham...

City 18 pts
Arsenal 11 pts
United 10 pts
Chelsea 5 pts

If you would have told me that would be the case after 6 matches I'd have creamed myself.

Whether that's true or not there's no doubt there's a civil war going on there (or many little wars). The look on terry's face when mourinho subbed him against us said it all. Then you've got mourinho publically criticising numerous players whilst some of them seemed to have downed tools a bit. Still very early days in the season but it already needs to take one hell of a turnaround for them to be in with a title shot

True.

But:

  • last season Chelsea beat us by 8 points. We all know if they'd had their foot on the gas for the last few weeks it could have been 10-12.
  • last season they had an unbelievable record with injuries - e.g. the 34 year old John Terry playing every minute of every game. It is unlikely they will achieve the same this season. ALREADY FAILED THIS ONE....
  • last season we had a poor run of injuries - e.g. when we were reduced to playing Milner at centre forward. It is unlikely that will happen again either. IRONICALLY THIS WAS WHEN WE PUT OUR BEST RUN TOGETHER (APART FROM OUR TRADITIONAL END OF SEASON SPURT)
  • last season they were playing with hunger and we weren't. Those roles have now been reversed.
  • We are already 11 points ahead of them, with a superior goal difference such that it might as well be 12.
So to get from where we both are now to the point where Chelsea win the league, they have to have an even better season than last year from here on in until the end of the season, and we have to have an even worse one.

It ain't over until it's over, but wherever the main title threat comes from this season I doubt it will be Chelsea. Unless we have a fuck up of monumental proportions.

I love a meltdown, especially a Mourinho inspired one at a club full of detestable twats. I'd heavily recommend the book "The Special One" by Diego Torres, which talks about all the arguaments and petty bullshit he got up to at Real. Genuinely hilarious

Daily mail running a story that Terry and Costa were involved in a full on fist fight with each other today in training. Club have had to cone out with a statement denying that this happened
If true i hope they both fucked each other up. Both are cheeks on the same arse.
