Post Match Thread: City v Juventus

Struggling to remember a time when we were 'ourselves' in Europe. Seems like the stigma is there that we have to alter our game for the European nights when I think the reality is, if we took it to teams like we know we can. many would struggle to keep up.

Until we have the confidence to play like City on the European stage....we will struggle. That being said, I still think we will win this group, Juve will drop points.

Concentrate on the league now.
CL is gone for another year. I despise this
Competition anyhow, complete waste of space.

i love nasri but his type of play looks so damn slow out there, he can play in the PL but in the CL we need some attacking pace, i do not rate navas but would have rather had him out there. KDB should have started over both of them

Very disappointing night, We were slow, predictable and generally just lacking that fight that ALWAYS occurs in the CL. I just don't know why we can't break these teams down...especially at home. Juve took their chances at the end of the day and we wasted all of our basically. Thought De Bruyne being dropped was a bit daft really if he's 100% fit, Nasri just didn't look up to it, neither did Raheem and neither was Bony... But all of team under performed as a whole tbh.

Lets just move on and think of west ham. No point in going on about this bad result all week. There are 5 more games left, and we can win every one of them on our day. Today was disappointing but onwards and upwards!

Juve is a good squad (regardless of their recent league form), esp in defense.

We did not take out chances.

They took theirs.

Simple.

It's done now. Learn from this. We weren't as appalling as I'm previous campaigns

West ham now. Need to carry the league form and make sure that it is unaffected

More evidence Silva and Nasri shouldn't both play against a team that will put 10 men behind the ball, they slow the play down way too much and it's too easy to defend against.

Were you there by any chance?

Because it's something we will not tolerate on here, people sat behind there keyboards slagging off match going blues

Definitely take offense and consider it a non-problem. Point out the slaggin'. Oh wait, I didn't slag off anyone, just commented how silent everyone was.

Question for you: Was it not incredibly silent? Do the players just like the appearance of the stadium and that's why they win more at home in the Premier league? Not rocket science, thanks for trying though.

Take a look at @EsteemedKompany's Tweet:

Denayer lad, Jesus that's smooth, Fernandinho's replacement in the holding role?

personally dont think we looked bad cant remember hart being troubled other than the goals which where just 2 moments of magic,we created the better opportunities, unfortunately the best 2 chances fell to our youngest player, just puts pressure on us beating the other 2 teams

I do feel like there is an air of apathy around the club surrounding Europe. Lord knows I do try but can only just be arsed to get involve (and even then it's only barely).
In the League however most Blues are up for that, and the cup, so maybe that spurs the team on a bit more? I dunno

I was disappointed when I saw nasri in the team. People slag off navas for his finishing but at the least he causes a world of problems for our opponents. Overall it was a bit flat tonight and nasri never really helps to build tempo!
