Sunderland Vs City Post Match Thread

Absolutely frightening that some people are saying well done Navas but Sterling didn't play well.

A goal, an assist and a forced OG from him. He's absolutely brilliant for a 20 year old and we're quite clearly better with him in the team.

Well done, just what we needed.

Kun still struggling and needs a change if studs.

Good to see some youngsters get a taste.

Shame we couldn't get another for my correct score bet but if we win I can live without my quid bet coming in.

Great performance.

Delighted with the result and the fact that 'right' players scored.

Super Kev continues to delight and it was great to see Sergio and Raheem on the scoresheet again.

But the biggest thrill of the night was George Evans finally making his first-team début.

The first lad to play for City at every level; a fantastic achievement. And I believe he's the first George to play for the seniors since our title-winning centre-half and former pub landlord, George Heslop.

Unless anyone knows better.
George Weah - not as good as Georgie Evans though!!

George Kinkladze ?? Ok nearly

It's himself that's making things difficult, just feel a bit of complacency is kicking in, showboating instead of knocking the ball into the net for example

You're showboating out ur arse kid. He didn't see the second defender. Clueless dick.

Job done. Won the game comfortably in the first half, and got to take it easy in the second half whilst blooding a few youngsters. No injuries either, so a successful night all in all.

Hopefully Spurs will play a strong team tomorrow, and you'd think they would with it being a derby at home. Extra time would be a bonus.

Confident performances from Otamendi and Fernando. Sterling and De Bruyne building good link up play.
Hope we can get our injured players back in contention soon.

No, we were crap and Sergio is a showboating primadonna who's mind isn't here.

Despite his goal, thought Sterling was awful. Those slating Navas off for nil end product should turn their attention to him.
I've not seen the game, but there's some good irony in that comment, so far Sterling has scored 2 "end products", and had an assist, meanwhile Navas has run about a lot.

This is far as I got in the thread, and I won't bother with it again, folk moaning about a 4-1 away win, where we only had to play in one half, and three youngsters get a debut.

What tf do people want exactly ? 4-0 up away after 36 minutes, I'm grateful they've saved themselves for Saturday, that's what we should be doing in cup ties, not the shite we had last year against 'boro.

Well done MP and players.

5live even reckoned Yaya insisted on playing.

De Bruyne is world class.

That second half had me wishing for a swift and merciful death. Boooooorrrrrrrrrring.

Well done Pellers. Got it spot on tonight

Fernando outstanding and KDB very good again

What is wrong with Sergio? Looks like he's really struggling physically and mentally

Pretty much exactly why you put a strong team out, to get the job done early so you can all put your feet up for the rest of the game. Ideal way of dealing with this sort of game

He wasn't showboating you plum, he just didn't know the second defender was behind him when he cut back inside. If it was at nil-nil I'm certain he would've just slotted it in.
