BT Sport Commentary...

bt have really fucked up big time with the likes of savage, mills, mcpointyman, Hargreaves, Ferdinand an so on, they had a chance to give the sky bastards a real run for their money but its gone spectacularly wrong due to the choice of shit pundits and presenters, cant really see many people rushing to sign up

I mentioned this on the match thread last night, Danny Mills was doing my nut with his negativity. The amount of times he said Navas's final ball always let him down. In fact he had one of his best games.
I'm ashamed that this idiot ever played for us. Total idiot

All their pundits have jobs with bookies. Makes me think their commentaries have more to do with getting odds up for in play betting for more personal cash than actually commentating properly on the match.

Switch off bt sport after about min and tuned in to a french tv broadcast. Much better even though didnt understand a word they were saying. Commentor got quite excited when we scored.

Did exactly the same after 10 mins. Mills' attempts to engineer a feud between Pellegrini and Kompany were shameless.

Is that ^ true?

Mills said repeatedly that Yaya needed to be closer to the forwards. So Pellegrini brings on Fernando to, in theory, allow Yaya to move further forward. Mills could not understand what was happening, even though this was exactly what he had been advocating. His commentating style consists entirely of, with hindsight, criticising players and managers' decisions. Mills, Owen and Savage. Could BT have chosen much worse?

Thought it was only me who thought BT were very negative last night. From kick off the 1st thing they mentioned was all the trouble in the city centre, which turned out to be supporters of Slask Wroclaw I believe. Than the great tactician, Danny Mills, said that playing 4-4-2 in Europe would be our undoing as we would be overrun in midfield, which to a point I agree with. However, 10 minutes later he says Yaya should be pushed up behind the front 2?????

However, my favourite comment was reserved for Ian Darke in the 2nd half when he stated that the goal scored by the Spaniards was "only the 2nd EVER that they have scored away from home ". Did not qualify this with 2nd in England or in the Champs League, I am not really sure.

According to a blog i read. Savage/Mcminimum/Owen/Bentwatt/Mills all work for online bookies giving "advice". Who's to say the deal works both ways in a match? If you do in play betting look at the match times on your app and the game you are watching. There's a gap of 8 seconds. More than enough time for one to sway a losing in play bet.

I only listened to English commentary in the second half. As much as I dislike Darke and Mills, I didn't think they were as negative towards us as they usually are.

Green and Nevin sounded like die hard Sevilla fans last night. Actually sounded gutted that we won. It was so bad, I nearly turned the radio off!!. Pair of twats.

Also the usual slaggin off the fans. Green rambled on about how silent we were and how all the noise was coming from the away section - as bluemoon can clearly be heard in the back ground.

Pat Nevin calls it as he sees it. Alan Green is an insufferable, bitter twit who dislikes us.

Last night was nowhere near as bad as Juventus. Fletcher was making non stop negative comments throughout the whole 90 minutes, it was a disgrace. Notice the difference in BT commentary between Kompany's goal and Giroud's goal. One was climbing on the defender and one was handball. Fletcher was banging on for the rest of the game about how Vinny's goal should have been disallowed and yet not a word on Giroud's blatant hand ball.

This exactly. To say we were getting overrun in midfield then Toure should push up behind the front 2. Does he really understand the game or was he just saying things for the sake of it.

Mills was a miserable negative fucker but not half as bad as Savage was when we played Borussia. I was ready for throwing the TV through the window, he was much worse.
