The Derby Post Match Thread

THE most piss poor Derby in living memory.

Can't believe we'll be on top of the league after that performance. One of the worst quality Premier League seasons ever so far.

Defensively we played brilliant offensively we were terrible so swings and roundabouts concerning the performance.

so being away from home and playing against an improved rag side without our two best players and gaining a point was well deserved in my eyes.

They were a lot better than they've been for a while in the derby. Having Aguero and Silva out allowed them to focus all their attention on De Bruyne. Every time he touched the ball, there were 3 men around him. Silva can deal with that and come out on top, but De Bruyne isn't as technical.

Anyway a point away at the swamp plus another clean sheet is a pretty decent result. I'm surprised Pellegrini was so cautious though.

Oh, and we don't concede when Kompany is in the defence this season.

Fuck me i cant believe the entitiled shite im reading in this thread, our 2 best players missing and a point against so called title rivals. We would hevae murdered them full strength. Thats the most calm i've ever been on derby day. The title is ours.
Well I`m glad you`re happy as I for one aint. One shot on target ... fuck me.Title rivals United ?? You`re havin a larf.

Decent result but could have done so much more. Disappointed with pellegrini for playing KDB on the right and then not switching him and Sterling after it was clear he was struggling. Bony woeful, give Kelechi a chance there really is nothing to lose in doing so. Otamendi and kompany were great at the back, has the makings of a great partnership.
Bony woeful? He didn't get a chance! No forward did.

LVG blew it and City went not to get beat

Clean sheet, back to the top of the table, key players missing, away from home, yes it wasn't pretty, but a point is a point.
The most important thing for me is that for once I saw Pellegrini play for a 0-0, negative and boring draw in a tough away match. Well played Pellegrini.

A good point overall, Pellers mostly picked the side we wanted before hand, much more disciplined as a unit, a good point.

Harsh to pick on Bony as he was feeding off scraps and usually outnumbered every time he got the ball. Yaya proving he is no little Dave, but then again who is??

Awful game, so bad in possession.

But, we dug in and ground out a win. Otamendi and Fernandiho were excellent. Fernando went about his business quietly but effectively.

Bony and Yaya were appalling!

Pleased Pellers noted the danger Fellaini caused us last season and brought on Demi to help combat that.

Kelchi should have come on much sooner for Bony.
Who scored??

Bony's second half performance was diabolical. Kelechi should get the nod against Norwich but I doubt it will happen. De Bruyne looked knackered from the first minute. Would have liked to see us have a bit of consistent pressure against their defence today but was never going to happen with Yaya as a passenger.

A point and to top of the league but not good again. We need a different plan for when Aguero/Silva aren't available.

But it's not just that Kun & Dave were missing. Our options were affected by having no Nasri; Delph & Clichy as well. It meant Scum could gang up on KDB

Happy with the point overall, Kelechi did well when he come on. Bony had a shocker, Oh well we move on and focus on the next game.

Exactly what we need to do away in Europe and against the big teams, defending was top class apart from the Lingard chance. Can't judge our attacking as we were missing our best 2 players.

Great hold up play by Bony there
I know you're being sarcastic, but first half I thought it was, second half he was useless. But in fairness wtf is he supposed to do? We had no meaningful possession and nearly everything he had was hoofed from Joe or the defence. He was on a hiding to nothing.
