Pellegrini seems more pragmatic and cautious in his lineups than ever before, probably due to having no Silva or Aguero. I don't think it's a bad thing at all, the two Ferns will protect us well, defend and close down Sevilla miles better than Yaya would in a midfield two. Yaya now gets license to do as little defending as possible. My only worry is Bony and Yaya have no mobility, our attack will rely on Navas, Sterling and the two full backs overlapping.

I'm not sure I agree at this stage, if yaya is in the hole. I don't think he can play with his back to goal so won't be much of an outlet ball if they are attacking us (like at OT). He appears to fancy getting at them with pace in the wide areas so I'm prepared to trust that decision, but it's not one I'd have made. De Bruyne should be in the middle every game when silva isn't fit in my opinion.

To be fair when the only gripe with the team and tactics is Yaya or KDB then he's not done too bad.

Yeah, I hope that's the logic. More of a 433. To be honest I'd be surprised, though. What I'm certain of is that if things aren't working he needs to get de Bruyne on the pitch in the middle running the show.

Only thing I would have changed is KdB for Bony & shove Sterling up top, gives us a dangerous & mobile counter attacking front 3 with the same solid midfield. Don't see many goals in Sterling/Navas/Bony from a countering point of view. But this set up gives us even more solidity from a defensive point of view, Sterling will track back more than KdB would have done from the left & Bony is useful at holding it up & defending set pieces.

I dont mind the line up. KDB being on the bench is a shock but if were going with pace down the wings its good. KDB will come on at some stage maybe he will come on and make a impact just shows the players that you can be rested at any time. Think Navas playing in Seville can go either way he will have a stormer or a shocker tonight can see 1 of the wide men coming off around 50 odd minute mark for KDB.
