Yeah but the IRA wanted something realistic, ISIS just want to kill everyone who isn't like them. They don't want their country back or they don't want a certain politician gone they want to kill everyone. You can't talk people like that down.

I'm praying it doesn't happen, but i can see it happening. europe is so divided at the minute especially in places like france. this will cause a lot of anger and retribution

Unfortunately I don't hold much hope for the hostages unless the French military and police can shoot the takers first. They're not going to let them go otherwise are they, it's not a bank robbery. Pray for them.
