Liverpool Post Match Thread

This thread fucking stinks of rags.
A woeful performance, deary me you'd think they'd all been on the piss.
But on the flip side I'd just like to express my admiration for Jurgen klopp.
Love the guy, loved him since dortmund came to ours and took the piss out of us for 90 mins.
His energy, his passion, his bond with his players.
How he set up the mickeys tonight was fantastic. Maureen, van gallardyce, Wenger and our audrey are so far behind this guy it's untrue.
Fuck your peps , fuck your vieras, this geezer has the golden ticket.
Can you imagine what he'd do with our calibre of players and his footballing savvy??
We've missed a trick fuckin big time here.
Thanks pellers, you came and you conquered but tonight for me you got found out massively pal.
Plus points? ?
No more international breaks til next March and we got a game in 4 days.
Have a nice night y'all. ...

First time Ive left a match early for about 10 years. Couldn't stomach any more of the shambles before my eyes

One of the most inept manager performances I've ever seen

Our best two players for the past month have been Otamendi and Fernandinho. The silly old coont thinks it's a good idea to drop both and prioritise a dead rubber CL game and play a centre half 2 years past his sell by date

After 60 mins we're on top and if we score the next goal there's a great chance we get at least a draw. The silly old coont thinks it's a good idea to take off the best striker in Europe and put on a kid

Baffling ... And I just wish there was a manager available now to step in and replace the silly old coont
One thing you can't fault him for is taking Sergio off, ffs.

Ye the manager told them all to play like clowns I get it. Hahahaha

okay so say you were in charge, you would have set the team up the same way then ?? that setup doesn't work and we get over-run all day when the team is put in the same formation with Yaya in as 1 of the 2. The fans can see it, the pundits can see it, but hey our manager can't but you seem okay with that

Play 3 crap defenders in your back four and you are asking for trouble......and we got it.

Pellegrini's fault for a stupid line up, dropping Ottamendi when Kompany couldn't play was Lunacy.

The subs actually made us worse rather than better.

We wre utter shit from start to finish and I would only excuse Aguero out of the lot of them and to a lesser degree Hart who made some good saves but first half he was as wank as the rest.

I'm struggling to remember a worse home performance in the league than that in the last 7 years.

smashed at home by a midtable team without them even having to play well. Blame is placed firmly on the manager once again. Not just his diabolical selections but his overall gameplan was non-existent. Klopp is predictable, you know full well they are going to hassle you constantly and put bodies in midfield, how do you combat that? Well if you're Pellegrini you ignore him, play your usual laboured football and let him do exactly the same thing he did with Dortmund, only this time, they finished their chances. Our manager is the weakest link in our team. Every average joe fan knew we needed 3 in midfield today, yet for Pellegrini, he had to concede 3 goals before he realised that. We should be running away with this league with our team and the demise of Chelsea, instead we're barely keeping up with United and Arsenal. Abysmal. said when Liverpool sacked Rodgers, despite the team doing well at the team we should of sacked Pellegrini and brought in Klopp whilst we could. We made a mistake there. Ancelotti is still available. It's not over reacting or being trigger happy, it's being proactive, get a new competent man in charge now whilst there's a chance and there's still something to play for.

Great post.

I like Pellers but worry today we may have seen the start of the league title bid faltering before slipping away completely. The rags have injuries too but they keep grinding out boring wins despite being a poor footballing team. We can't be having what we saw today - particularly in defence. Fact is we bumbled to a 0-0 draw against a team humiliated by Everton today before being humiliated ourselves at home. Winners don't have that happen to them.
Rooney, Martial, Fellaini, Carrick and Valencia all we're missing today. We can't do it without Kun and Silva been like this a while now. Today we needed to be smarter and realise we hadn't the team to play the way we tried to against them, MP fucked us so bad.

The biggest problems I noticed were:

Yaya's strolling about, not able to get near anyone meaning people were running in to help him defend situations ending up out of position.
Mangala's terrible positioning and panic with the ball when anyone tried to close him down.
Fernando's composure on the ball fading again(might have been the fact that confidence dipped with the team playing so bad) losing the ball a heck of a lot.
Sterling wasn't terrible but he takes too long to decide what he wants to do and it end's up too late too often and we lose the ball through him.

Ancelotti.. And he Would be gold!

Saving the squad for an important game in midweek or just his usual bout of insanity? In the greater scheme of things today's game was the more important of the 2. Does it really matter whom we draw in the round of 16? We will only be delaying the inevitable with this man at the helm. in the meantime there is a very winnable title nearer home, one which if we are not at least challenging strongly for will be unforgivable. 13 points dropped already and we're only a 3rd of the way in.

Are you talking the performance or quality? Their best 11 is not even on the same level as ours, I know which squad I'd rather have as a whole and it aint Liverpools by a long shot mate.

I meant on the pitch today, I would hope that had Kompany, Otimendi, Silva and Fernandinho been playing we would've been able to handle their quality up front.

Mangala and Fernando. Deary me, what were the higher ups thinking when they bought those two? And for that amount of money too. :/

Which team won 4-1?

Our's isn't as good as many on here seem to think.
That wasn't our best 11 though and coupled with that they were all off form. Personally I see a lot of kneejerkers turning on the team at the first opportunity all too often. There are certain areas we need to address but as a whole to say Liverpool have a stronger squad is laughable IMO.

Still third and in with a shout. Pellegrini took a huge gamble and it failed badly but a win in Turin could take the sting out of the defeat today.

Beyond pathetic. Quite possibly the worst performance since the 8-1 at Boro.

That we would struggle was depressingly predictable for at least three reasons:

(I) Whenever Kompany doesn't play, we're pathetic defensively. We were.

(II) Whenever Silva doesn't play, we're invariably clueless going forward. We were.

(III) whenever any team presses us well high up the pitch, our game goes to utter shit. It did.

Even accounting for all that, it was hard to imagine that we'd be so fucking woeful. I'm aPellegrini fan, but three dreadful performances in close succession (Utd, Villa, Liverpool) is hard to stomach. Very, very concerned.

Totally agree mate, Klopp made us look wank tactically, Liverpool have a very very good manager, Manuel played into his hands and got his fingers fuckin burnt.

There squad is nowhere near ours, they looked a class above us today.

Oh I cant argue with that they certainly made the team out there today look very poor, well actually alot of them did that without Liverpools help.
