I spent time this afternoon re sizing all of those badges to get them all to look the same size so there could be no claims of bias.

Just because you prefer the date to the stars does not make it some kind of sabotage. Not on.

Jesus Christ mate, I picked the first one I found. I didn't even notice the fucking stars, and I don't know why you're so precious about the date being on there. All of the other designs had versions with the date on and I didn't include those either, but you don't seem so upset about them? Weird.

As I said in the original post to Ric, everyone will have their own particular changes they'd make, it's impossible to pick everyone's perfect design. Ric asked for 5 and I tried to pick the most popular 5 core designs.

How can you possibly think that eagle in a roundel with the date is by miles the best one, but the same design with 3 stars instead of the date is an absolute disgrace and I'm trying to sabotage the whole vote? Bonkers.

I flicked through the thread and saw that design and copied it. I didn't even notice the fucking poxy stars until you threw a tantrum about them!

What's going on with you 2? I posted a Rose badge ages ago that hasn't been used and im the only one to vote for E so far...it doesn't mean there is a conspiracy against the Rose because its slightly different or it hasn't got the date on which is what I prefer....but so what...i like it...others don't. It doesn't matter. As Shaelumstash said; there are too many variables to put every badge up. Its a general vote on the elements of the badge & not specifics. Any way as I previously posted...put your own badges up with your own designs and ask people to vote for their favourite. Don't put down people who spent time and effort trying to get a common agreement between lots of fans.

@Ric following on from the chat about a vote the other week, I think it's now possible to create a shortlist. Not everyone will have their first choice included, but I've tried to select 5 that represent the views of the majority of posters on here.

We know it's going to be round, so I've included 5 round badges, 2 with eagles, 2 with three river shields, and one with a rose.

Everyone has their own ideas on trim and colour scheme, as reflected in Gav's post last week that had 30 different designs on. Perhaps everyone's first choice is not one of these options, but I hope there is enough variety that people can vote on the core design they like best, even if they would make alterations in a perfect world.

C but in the style of E (bigger shield, looks a bit more pro) - and also without the circles/blue moons either side of the roundel that are unnecessary and ruin the look. The original of C I don't remember posted with those circles on either side.

Has nobody bothered to remove the M.C.F.C bit out of the eagle ones? It would allow for a larger ship and 3 rivers/lines and look cleaner IMO, plus theres no need to have both the full name and the initials(none of the others do). Not much effort has gone into the eagle ones by the looks of it(apologies if that's not the case, I'll shush though before you all tell me to get one made myself ha).

Are we going to do a proper poll(anonymous to stop death threats against eagle supporters ;) ) on its own thread with a nice visual pie chart? :)

edit found one more along the lines I was thinking of(was it TonyM who made it?):

I'd prefer bold white stripes to represent the rivers(see below... too much gold there) on the sky blue background but a decent effort IMO.

To be honest the vote looks like a non starter, I now know why Gav didn't want to get involved.

I said in the original post everyone has their own perfect badge, we can't vote on them all because there would be 2000 badges to vote on. I tried to select 5 different core designs thay reflected most views. But people will always come back and say, ohhh A if you mix it with D or C but without the fucking stars or crosses or whatever!

I think its important to treat each comment separately when discussing social media comments or fans views. My opinion is everyones opinions count. Course they do. New fans, old fans, foreign fans...see the common theme?

That's burying your head. There's quite clearly a common theme, the majority of blues who were given an opinion were club members and the club got the right people in (Gary James e.g.) to give talks to make sure it was decided by proper blues. We voted for a round badge and I'd put my house on the favourite symbols being 3 rivers and the ship for the ship canal.

Those interested in City from other countries, who quite clearly have jumped on the bandwagon, didn't want a change. You can't turn a blind eye to that and suggest a case by case way of looking at it.

If you haven't even attended a game or contributed in the slightest to the club you deserve fuck all input on club matters.

Why should someone in Indonesia, who has never been to Manchester, have the same right as me or my family, who have poured thousands into the club and been going to City for decades, have their voice heard as much as mine?

Nothing against Indonesian blues, but I broadly agree with this. There's no perfect way to limit the vote, but I think restricting it to season ticket holders and "Cityzen" members is probably the best solution, as they have done.

Probably best to ask the guys who did the eagle designs Metal. Not being funny but at a guess the people who did the work on the eagle-less roundels are not eagle fans so that will be why work has not gone into them. I know at least one designer on here who has said he'd rather not do any work on eagles as he's not into the eagle. It's a fair point right? No need to shush....u serious about death threats?

I don't mean any disrespect to any blues anywhere, as long as they can appreciate that City fans who have been going for years through thick and thin and know the City of Manchester itself, have more of a right than them.

On social media this week I saw a City "fan" from, let's just say another continent, telling a City fan of 30 years from Denton, he knows "fuck all" and should "keep his mouth shut" over the badge discussion.

If I'd latched onto a NFL team and they had a similar thing going on, I'd be embarrassed to even pass opinion on their local news posts on social media.

No worries. I'd be very interested in any poll results. Maybe the eagle lovers will post/get something that they accept as at poll standard. You did make it pretty clear but the difficulty maybe is people dont see the original post explaining that. If it was a poll on its own thread I'd like to see it...even though I can't stand the flamin thing I don't dismiss fans out of hand who like it...joking aside sometimes of course.

The ship represents trade bud. I don't think geographically it matters where fans come from do you? I'm of the view the more the merrier. I think City is about building bridges. ..not excluding fans because they are new, foreign, haven't bought 20 years season tickets or similar. Who's to say those fans won't become that? Bit of a generalisation to suggest foreign fans didn't want a change. Anyway City voice and Cityzens was done online so im sure it was done case by case. Not saying your points or views are less valid...but you want City to grow right? When you go on holiday would you like to chat with foreign blues?
