City Vs Hull Post Match Thread

All changed when Kelechi came on. Pace and movement up front. Silva, De Bruyne and Otamendi outstanding.

Pelle out!!! No clean sheet

Totally, wholly and singularly the fault of that wanker with the whistle. The most blatant foul of the night, nay, more of a rugby tackle, arm out of socket, twisted round and then dumped on the ground, and yet the ref sees nowt, we play on and bingo. If we hadn't have had three extra that would have been what Hull came for - equaliser in the dying minutes! Well, done, ref, you were useless! Who was the cnut anyway. Supposed to be Neil Dracula but looked more like that loony Jones!

Decent performance. Some poor anticipation making easy passes look misplaced.
But on the whole solid and controlled.
Otamendi looks like he's lost half a stone - motm for me.
Otamendi was brilliant. About as dominant a defensive display as you will see

We struggled to put them away and get that 2nd. Hull were very poor.

Good to see Silva back. Didn't expect him to play so long. That's a bonus

From the DM report...
It was a rather underwhelming end to what had been a momentous day, with enough empty seats at the Etihad to suggest there is still some work to be done before City can rub shoulders with the biggest clubs in world football.

Neil swarbrick wasn't it? Used to ref my Sunday league when I was younger. As did the liner as well.

Definitely Jones. Relegated from the Premier League for his shocking performances but good enough for a QF apparently. Awful as ever.

Buzz off Delph and Fernandinho as a middle two. Like two bees. Otamendi also brilliant as usual.

That was a brilliant game. We were so chilled for most of it.
Bony was fairly good, just coming back from injury, took his goal very well.
David Silva was a genius as always. Delighted that he was captain. I think he is our 2nd most important player in terms of playing our game just after Vincent.
Otamendi had possibly his best game. Extremely cultured and saved everything. Unlucky to concede right at the end, think it was a slight mistake by Demichelis?
Iheanacho did great and scored again. He's making the most of his early appearances. Also very impressed by Delph, he looks like a £20m man at least!
Hard to choose but Kevin De Bruyne is my motm. His good shot resulted in the first goal, scored a nice cheeky one and his free-kick was beautiful.

*Edit: in the build up to their goal Kelechi was quite badly pulled over, and it wasn't really a mistake from Martin he couldn't do much else; so sorry Micho the ref was just a nob lol.

The linesman on the Colin bell side first half was shit! Did anyone else think the goaly hand balled it out of the area?
