This will no doubt be another 'villa' , 5-5 formation. We will have to work really hard to break through. Delph should play IMO. We need a win or risk dropping away from the top four very quickly.

Clean sheet please. A nice, easy 2 or 3 nil would be fantastic!

We've looked a much better side with Silva back, just need to sort out the defence.

I'd like to see Delph get another start (as previous posters have mentioned). We need his energy in the middle of the park. Unfortunately, I think that would have to be at the expense of dinho - as Yaya is untouchable and I'm not sure pellegrini will play three CMs at home to Swansea - so I'm not sure about that.

Kev only played 65 mins on Tuesday so hopefully he'll be a little fresher tomorrow. Maybe rest sterling if he feels tired and give navas a start.

I think Mangala should get an extended run in the side now. Mdm seems well off the pace this season, which is a shame.

Sagna should be fresher after only playing ten mins the other night too.

Looking forward to this. C'mon blues!!

Apologies if already posted but the match is on Setanta tomorrow for those who have it available.

This should be a bread and butter 2-0 professional win, and I mean no disrespect to Swansea fans, because in football as we know every game can go tits up.

Hopefully fingers and toes all crossed we can get a win, keep a clean sheet if possible. If we play like we did second half on Tuesday we will win comfortably. If we play like we did first half Tuesday then forget it!!! Come on City!1

Let's really push on now please lads. I'm not too sure what team we'll put out. The CB's have to be Otamendi and Mangala. Is Manuel going to play with the three in midfield or sacrifice one (unfortunately, probably Delph) in order to play KDB Silva Sterling with Bony up top? I would quite possibly rest KDB and play the three in midfield with Silva Sterling and Bony up top. KDB looked tired midweek and Bony will want a good performance vs Swansea after a goal midweek. Of course it's possible that he rests KDB, drops Delph, and plays Navas.

I wonder when 'next week' will finally happen with Kun and Vinny :-(

It's a bit like those solicitors who are handling the contract exchanges for the new house.......... oh yes, definitely sending the letter today. Oh yes, Vincent Kompany will be playing next week.......... oh hang on, there isn't an International so he won't be playing until then!!!! Sorry Vincent Kompany but it is beginning to seem a little bit like this now.

Bony was 'rested' midweek. No chance he'll be benched for Iheanacho today. That's coming from a big Iheanacho fan. Best we can hope for is a cameo.

Yeah i'd go along with that. Also think with it being his old club you'd expect him to be extra motivated. Can see him getting at least a brace today.

You dont drop a striker, rebuilding his confidence and fitness, immediately after one of his best displays, cameo or otherwise.

Hart
Clichy Mangala Otamendi Sagna
Yaya Fernandinho
Sterling Silva Navas
Bony.

De Bruyne should get a rest.

Rested not dropped. Nacho needs games too..its a busy programme now. Champs league over till February. Bony looked sharp...give Nacho an hour to get sharp too. We need at least 2 match fit strikers v Arsenal.

For me Bony needs more game time not less. Started to show a little bit of form and needs to further build his confidence. "Resting" him now would dent that IMO

Yup, my viewpoint today. Bony has to play. Just need to work out who we're dropping - Delph? Or do we rest KDB? If we're playing Bony, Sterling, Silva, Navas, then I want to see Fernandinho and Delph in midfield. If we're seeing two of Sterling, Silva and Navas, then I want to see Toure in front of the Fernandinho and Delph duo. I'd want Toure to sit there and just lay off passes.

Personally the more I think about it the more I'd want to play Fernandinho & Delph. Stick Navas and Sterling on the wings, tell David to pull the strings and make use of the pace. Sterling and Navas should cut inside, jink around, get the balls into the box, shoot when possible - be unpredictable and make chances for Bony.
