Yup, my viewpoint today. Bony has to play. Just need to work out who we're dropping - Delph? Or do we rest KDB? If we're playing Bony, Sterling, Silva, Navas, then I want to see Fernandinho and Delph in midfield. If we're seeing two of Sterling, Silva and Navas, then I want to see Toure in front of the Fernandinho and Delph duo. I'd want Toure to sit there and just lay off passes.

Personally the more I think about it the more I'd want to play Fernandinho & Delph. Stick Navas and Sterling on the wings, tell David to pull the strings and make use of the pace. Sterling and Navas should cut inside, jink around, get the balls into the box, shoot when possible - be unpredictable and make chances for Bony.

Curtis will probably play Shelvey, someone who is better playing with the ball and the game in front of him, so get Delph and Fernandinho to press him before he can get the ball under control and turn.

With Clchy now fit I reckon he starts, especially considering Manuel was saying he only had 13/14 players available last week.

He came in or Sagna to pretty much give Bacary a rest mid-week, this week I think Aleks will get his turn and get a rest.

Bony will start albeit seeing the movement of playing Sterling up top was a nice change to what we have seen in recent weeks, his movement allows the likes of Silva and De Bruyne to shine a bit more as they have someone to run in behind and pass to rather than have everything to feet.

This is Bony's old club though and I think it's very likely we will use Bony because of it.

I think we will also see Navas in for De Bruyne as watching him mid-week and against Stoke it looked two games too many to me, the man needs a rest by the looks of it.

im very very excited about this game,its my first home game since arsenal 0-3 when boyata was sent off early,or was it forest at home in the cup when hughes was incharge 0-2,, and my first live match since the wigan cup final :) not see a live goal since the take over ,come on blues :)

Happy about the big recovery period between this match and the Arsenal match.

Hopefully we go off to south of Spain for some warm weather training during the week, maybe Tuesday to Friday/Saturday.

Good rest and recuperation for the players prior to a very busy end of December and January.

You dont drop a striker,rebuilding his confidence and fitness,immediately after one of his best displays,cameo or otherwise.

Its a squad game and dropped is a negative description. Nacho played very well & was also rested afterwards. The players know this and work together.
