I'm loving the lazy med narrative regarding Pep.
"He wants United, buy may go City".
Really?

Even if we've got to a tipping point (which I doubt will be in my lifetime) that sort of thing will go on for years as the lazy gits will just cut & paste those amounts in re-ashed stories. And still in EVERY article (apart from SB to be fair) martial is 36m and Sterling is 49m, that in itself shows exactly how they report on the 2 clubs
The narrative is decided by their paymasters, namely the betting companies that want the majority of idiots to place money on Pep going anywhere other than City.I was reading an article yesterday about Pep leaving Bayern and it mentioned united, arsenal and chelsea all being interested in him. At the very end it had almost a footnote that we were interested too. Are we in that much of a bluemoon cuckoo land when we think we front runners for Pep? Are we missing something? In my head everything is set up with his two best mates being here, the academy, the players we have etc. Most of the press on the other hand don't even hardly acknowledge that he may join us.
We're missing being one of the old top 4 and having owners that aren't arabs. We're missing having a huge pool of City supporting journalists in the mainstream media i.e tabloids/radio/ Sky and BT to big us up at any given moment.I was reading an article yesterday about Pep leaving Bayern and it mentioned united, arsenal and chelsea all being interested in him. Pretty much every newspaper report I've read today has us down as the frontrunners to get Guardiola.
I have noticed that also. Similarly I put in Martials transferhttp fee and the guardian, mail, bbc, mirror all referenced it.
Fair play to Willip for acknowledging this though. It is part of the issue that those highlighting reports are being very selective in information they choose. Not every paper will reference Martials transfer fee and similarly papers, to fill print, will probably swing like a pendulum for Peps next destination. Its the way of the red tops, not unique to City, and surprising it still needs explaining.
Im still waiting for an explanation why BT who have sponsored City Square, signed a unique deal with the club for media content or then sneakily forcing city and non-city pundits to speak negatively about us or risking losing their jobs as claimed. Surprisingly no explanation so far

If Granada said it was raining I'd go out wearing sun cream and a beanie hat.Granada reports just said rags are favourites. Must be true then
Who was that dick on 5Live as I was driving home saying that the Rags are Pep's dream club? How does the clown possibly know this?
As has been said, this is the Rag media theme now. They don't want him at OT and so, heartbroken, he has to reluctantly settle for the Etihad whilst looking wistfully across to his beloved Stretford.
The only City media theme that I have ever detected is one of ignoring MCFC, hoping that it will go away. I am yet to hear a journalist say that City would be a perfect fit for Pep, that the club is the most ambitious option and that it just might possibly be Pep's first choice. One wonders why you are so vociferous in your support of the Rag-infested media. The media agenda against City is not a conspiracy. It's a fact.It is just the pendulum of the media to fill print, grabbing at straws in the hope they unearth an exclusive. Many outlets (Today) have ran on their back page he is likely to come to City (Mail, Mirror, I paper etc). They also do not really know. Does that mean they are biased in our favour and there is a City media theme now????
Of course not but that has hardly had a mention on this thread as it does not fit the world is against us narrative.
I do love an HP conspiracy theory! The narrative is decided by their paymasters, namely the betting companies that want the majority of idiots to place money on Pep going anywhere other than City.

We've got another 6 months of this shite.
