2016 home shirt first peak with (not the) new badge?

When the revealed the Coventry kit last year with Coventry sky blue shorts and no white in the kit for the first time in our 120 year history, there were dozens of people off here who emailed the club.

We all got the same stock reply - "We will pass your feedback on to Nike."

So it's one of two things, the club is either unwilling or unable to influence Nike producing a kit that completely disrespects our identity, history and core fan's wishes.

Whichever one it is, it's completely unacceptable and wouldn't happen at any other top club.

I'm convinced there will be a Cityzens consultation on the kit next year. What's the best way to ensure the most fans engage with the consultation? Produce a kit they hate and will rally around to change.

How do you produce a kit the fans hate? Tear up the history books, give us Coventry's shorts, Chelsea's socks and throw some navy blue sleeves on for good measure, that should do it.

From what I remember you were pretty confident that the fans would vote to keep the eagle. Think less than 30% voted to keep it, so you were way out on that.

You like the eagle and blue shorts?! Are you sure you're a City fan?! If you are, there's no accounting for taste I suppose.... ;-)

Nope, I'm saying it's a strategy by the club to get fans to engage with the kit consultation to make sure the majority of fans get what they want.

It just so happens my view on our kit corresponds with the majority view. Sky blue shirts, white shorts, blue socks.

I guarantee those three things will win any vote by a landslide. Just as I said the round badge with rivers / rose would win by a landslide, and it did, with over 65% of the votes.

Don't recall mentioning what other fans would vote...recall you telling me i better get used to not having it...you'll be in the same boat next year Tash.. getting used to blue shorts.

I'm sure these "leaks" are deliberate, just to test ideas, they won't put navy sleeves on, because virtually no f**ker would buy it.

So they're going to deliberately give us something that they 'know' we don't want, just so that they can ask us to tell them what they already know?

Don't you remember the Umbro rag one a few years ago that was a sort of dark blue and white Christmas tree camouflage? That was absolutely terrible, even before they added the rag badges

it's Nike, the company that turned us into Coventry, is obsessed by Navy, gave us the shield, has made us glow in the dark and given Barca horizontal stripes.

I'd be surprised if the home kit wasn't navy blue with sky blue trim the way they're going.

Their is one thing which annoys me allot from Nike, the fucking navy logo on a blue shirt. Seriously what's wrong with white we've always used that till Nike. The white logo is much better.

Ah I reckon those are around the same level, the pattern is far worse but the badge brings them up a notch compared to the rag one.
 
Being a traditionalist, I want sky blue shirts, white shorts and navy socks. I think it's what we should go forward with.

However, if they feel the need to shake things up from time to time, I wouldn't be against a version of this;

A sky blue shirt, navy sleeves with white trim. White shorts and navy socks. I think it's look fucking mustard and then would set up aproper all sky blue home top the year after.
