They did but without Arda they only had Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic and Samper from their B team. Iniesta is 31, they need new players. This guy is really good though, perfect Pep midfielder.

Isco is a poor man's Andre Gomes, and that's saying something!

cant disagree more I don't remotely see the comparison for me he's more of a much better version of Herrera, I see Gomes as a combative box to box centre mid where as Isco is a young Iniesta who plays in behind the opposition midfield and linking to the attack with finesse.

Isco has to be the most skillful Spaniard I've ever seen. Remind me of Jay Jay Okicha at Bolton. The balance, control, and confidence to take on a man is remarkable.

Lovely player, a real technician with really clean ball striking. Valencia have been using him as an attacking midfielder, but at Benfica he was used more as a Carrick type deep playmaker(with an ability to actually control the ball and deal with pressing). Not sure I'd agree that he has more pace than Isco, I don't think he's particularly quick at all, he's just big and powerful so he's difficult to catch once he gets going. I'd see him as far more of a Yaya replacement than an Isco alternative, but he could play either way.

From the clips I've just watched he reminds me more of David Silva. Lovely looking player & seems to be able to use either foot.

Lol, didn't mean to. The guy just intoxicates me with his play. Even when it doesnt come off. My favorite non Cirt player. I've never pined for him to come here. Coz I don't think I could stomach the rejection.

It's 100% down to Zidane.

If he starts Isco for the next 3 games before the window closes, the kid won't want to move. If he plays Rodriguez instead, then we've got a decent chance.

Strange timing too as Di Marzio just reported Gomes was Juve's first target for replacing Pogba. Gomes was also a Real Madrid target.
