Could, sure! But more likely than not wouldn't. Silva will most likely play as one of the 2 CMs ahead of the DM. My sense is that it will be Yaya at DM with DeBryune and Silva head of him if he adopts his Barca system, or Yaya and Dihno at DM with one of Silva or DeBryune ahead of them.Pep could put him in the Alonso role

Delph
Fern. Silva
Kdb sterling
Wanchope
Ok, well as I said previously 'Bloody hell, the bar isn't set very high in your world is it? :-)Silly me,obviously i meant to add "APART FROM MINE".

Silva..Kevin..Sterling
.....Delph....Dihno
I think that will work
Wa just attempting to answer a question posed. :)Only decent passer is Silva.
People used to clamour for a Fernando-Dinho CM partnership until it was shown to be a terrible idea. I don't see much difference with Delph-Dinho. Both partnerships suffer from being extremely limited in terms of passing.
Yaya plays all the time because he's undroppable. We have a crap selection of CMs. I'm sure, if he arrives, completely revamping CM will be Pep's first priority

Amazed at how many have said on this forum Dinho-Delph didn't work at Stoke. When it was actually Dinho- Fernando. Then Dinho was subbed off after 55 for Delph. If Delph-Dinho had played at Stoke I feel we wouldn't have had such a bad result.
Not basing it on Stoke, just the attributes of the players.
No he doesn't. Why are folks making stuff up? He tries, but he is far from decent at it.Silva actually defends well (especially in covering and closing down) and I can see him in the central DM role under Pep in a 3331 formation, getting the ball and twanging it 40 yards to the feet of a City player. More likely to be tge central AM role I know but I just have this feeling.
I admit his height lets him down a bit, but hey if the opposition pushed forward too much they would be chancing death by passing.
