De Bruyne scores more goals and creates more chances but Silva allows us to dictate games and control possession. De Bruyne is more direct. Silva will take the ball in a tight situation, control it, pirouette and pass it of leaving us comfortable, but when it comes to turning possession into chances and goals, de Bruyne is as good as anyone

And incredible to think they both play for us!!! 2 of the very best there are, nestling in behind Aguero. Lovely!

Yet it's incredible that Kun, Silva and KDB have all been on the pitch together for about 1 hour in 3 months....
Can’t wait to Christmas time when hopefully all 3 will fit and on fire after playing a couple of games together!

I don't agree whatsoever that De Bruyne creates more chances. I think he might end up with more assists, but there is more to creating chances than that.

An assist is just the pass before a goal. But an assist is not always the most important pass in a passage of play.

The defence splitting pass, the one that opens a team up, that gets you in behind, is usually the most important one, and Silva is the best in the business at that. How many assists has Zabba got, or even one of the forwards, where Silva opens up the defence and all Zabba has to do is roll it square for someone to score. The goal has been created by Silva, but the assist will go to Zabba.

No chance of this happening, we will struggle to see out front four play a run of games due to silva and aguero being injury prone.

Agree, however, the people getting excited have every right to bud... KDB has continued where he left off last year from the Bundesliga, he's doing it in a superior league, more excitingly, from the off.... He has the potential to be the best of the lot, this 7 game stance isn't really fair, some have been watching him rip it up for the last 18 months..... For me he'll surpass silva, that's no disrespect to the man, it means one thing... We have another world class player, also in a position we thought we'd struggle to fill long term!!!

Having the potential to be better than Silva is quite a different matter than already surpassing him though mate. Kelechi has the potential to be better than Aguero, but let's wait and see.

De Bruyne was poor last night. He's been poor for long periods of other games too. But he is an incredible finisher, is very direct and has a great eye for the early ball. That's why he ends up with so many assists and goals, because he's always looking to get in behind teams as quickly as possible. It doesn't always work though, and he can frustratingly give away possession recklessly, like he did for their goal last night.

The difference with Silva is that not only is a master creator and specialist at opening up packed defences, he's also a play maker, a dictator of play, someone who runs games and keeps possession. It's like having 2 players in one.

The best example of the gulf in class between the two of them is the Newcastle game. In the first 25 minutes, De Bruyne was in the middle, Silva on the right. City were absolutely appalling. We had no pattern to our play, we were disjointed, KDB was constantly giving the ball away, and we got outplayed by the bottom of the league. On 25 minutes, we shifted them around, and instantly we began to tear Newcastle apart. We went from 1-0 down to winning 6-1. Silva was at the centre of everything, knitted the team together and we absolutely destroyed them. Aguero scored 5, but there were still some that argued Silva should have been MOM, such was his impact on the game.

It's an absolutely huge shout to say De Bruyne will surpass Silva. I hope he does, because it probably means he'll end up being the best player in the world. But he's got a long, long way to go.

Silva dictates games but De Bruyne is capable of more goals (assists and goals himself). Both will compliment each other amazingly that's the best bit.

Silva is the best player full stop.

He is not injury prone, just booted in the air a lot.

Silva is very consistent.
De Bruyne can drift in and out of games but is likely to produce a moment t of magic.
Silvas the best player in the league by a mile
