Kolarov injured against Palace?

Love me a bit of Kola - even his injury and consequent substitution was somehow ludicrous. He's not straight forward that boy.

I saw the list on Sky sports - Saturday am - Kolarov had the second worse shot conversion rate of all premier league players over the last five years. I'm trying to remember the player at the bottom - I will find out - but it was a shock considering his left foot. I guess Navas was not in the bottom few because he rarely shoots choosing to cross inside more often than not.
That's not surprising. Kolarov is a terrible decision maker.
One of his worst qualities. He has a poor Football brain.

I was sat right behind the city bench... Kolorov kicked the ball out and signalled he needed to come off, clichy was on the bench and didn't have any boots on (unbelievably) so clichy had to put his boots on and warm up before the change could be made.... Pardew picked up on this and instructed his team to target kolorov (which they started to do) after a few mins kolorov looked over to the bench and rollocked all of them and then went down to force the sub

What did he have on his feet, carpet slippers?? It's ridiculous that the subs are not fully kitted up and ready to come on. Brings back memories of Joey Barton not being able to find his shirt on the bench at Boro.

Or Darius Vassel taking about 5 minutes to remove all his jewellery whilst we were down to 10 men.

He only went down after one of our players (Zab I think) told him too, far too long after he went down the first time.

We're still far too nice as a bunch of players.
Zaba was on the touchline about to take a throw in,he shouted at Kolarov quite vociferously to go down,Hart was shouting similar,he then went to our bench to investigate wtf was going on.......it was all very amateur.

It was bizarre. He clearly indicated to the bench a couple of minutes beforehand that he needed to come off. Why on earth he didn't sit down after kicking the ball out of play I don't know. We didn't even make much fuss when Palace took the throw in.

He signaled to the bench he needed to come off when the ball was on our right flank. About 20 seconds later he was given the ball which he promptly kicked out of play. However rather than going down and allowing time for a sub to be made he stayed on his feet and Palace took the throw and continued with play. He then glared at the bench another couple of times gesticulating he needed to come off. Shoddy from the player to not go down, shoddy from Palace to not recognise the fact and give us the ball back despite not needing to, shoddy from the bench to not recognise immediately Clichy was required but worst of all was Clichy not having his boots on and having to run back down the tunnel to retrieve them.

This guy has played 90% of games this season, due to the fitness of his alternate, and scored some vital goals. He has been a major part in our success over the last few years. He is a character, and I am sure he is a favourite in the dressing room too.

He might not be our most technically gifted player, or the best defender in the league, but he deserves a whole lot more respect than you are affording him here.

Cheers mate, I agree wholeheartedly.

I'd forgotten about that. It was totally bizarre because we gave them a throw in and because nobody was down they just took it and attacked rather than give it back to us. They actually mounted a reasonable attack, from memory, because we were discussing what would have happened if they scored. it certainly would have been huge news if it had cost us the game!

Name a better one, then we can all have a laugh !
