Toure's agent speaks out (again)

Although i have been critical of Yaya's CURRENT state of play, i'm not for the "see you Yaya","don't let the door" etc.
He's been bloody brilliant for us, overall and i think his current dilemma is a crying shame. It sullies the superb
performances he has given this team. I'm hoping Manuel can find a way of still keeping him effective and motivated.
When he leaves, i hope it is with dignity from him and us the fans.

People saying that there isn't another player around like yaya doesn't really mean anything. The amount of times we've been overrun in midfield this season is criminal. We'd just play a different style without him. What we'd lose in attacking potential, we'd gain defensively.

Simple truth is we will never be able to replace Yaya with another Yaya but there will be life after him.

One of the greatest to ever pull on our shirt without a doubt.

This is a similar situation to Rooney and Rags fans in my opinion. Both contributed hugely to club success, produced brilliant moments and wonderful memories. At the same time both have somewhat tarnished their legacies at each club by acting as if they were bigger than the club.

For me Yaya is one of the finest players to pull on the shirt. I'd say he's top 5. He's also in the top 5 cunts to play for us.

Why don't we have a competition on here to see how many different ways we can criticise one of the best players to ever pull on a city shirt. Some people need to think back a few years at the dross we had to watch that deserved criticism and then perhaps they might realise how lucky we are to have players of Toures calibre at this wonderful club.
Did you cheer when tevez came back and celebrated with a golf swing after him and his agent gobbing off. What about Barton and his scrout.
Yes yaya has been greAt and should be remembered as such but current attitude of some have him bigger than the team and the club ffs.

Find me one person that claims Yaya is solely responsible.

People fawn over him because he's an exceptional talent and his contribution has played a big part in our success over the last 5 years.

His lack of contribution has also played a large part in our failures.

He will never be a legend to me yaya.

I thank him for his contributions in the FA cup goals in the semi final and the final for us to win it and the numerous other important goals he has scored in the meantime but the way him and his agent go on and 'cakegate' he's not a legend to me like Zaba or silva is.

Thanks yaya but I can see when he leaves he will slate us.

Cakegate was nothing. That same summer he blamed City for not allowing him to see his brother before he died. It was an outrageous lie proven by the fact that he stayed in Qatar on holiday for two weeks letting Qatar tap him up for PSG before the world cup when he could have been sitting by his brother's side.

He used his brother's death to try to get a transfer. That is ALL you need to know about the man. I would happily give the trophies back if it meant we could expunge him from our history.

Always remember my first Bike i'll never forget it, just like I will never forget Yaya and what he has done for our club if he left tomorrow..
Legend..

Did he doooooo tell more!!

There isn't one player who could currently step into Yaya's shoes and deliver what he has delivered. Pogba is about as near as you could get from what I've seen but he falls a little short in crucial, skill-defying goals. Has Poggers come close to scoring the kinda goals that Yaya has delighted us with?

Yes, Pogba has already scored some world class goals; more than Yaya had at his age.

I'm not saying he would be an absolute like for like replacement but Paul Pogba absolutely has a cannon of a right foot and similarly has brilliant footwork for such a big guy.

A club legend as far as I'm concerned is a player who not only served us well on the pitch but also regards us as their spiritual home.

From Yaya himself:

"At the end of the season, I wanted to stay for four or five days with my brother before I flew to prepare for the World Cup with Ivory Coast, except that City did not want to grant me a few days.

"I went to celebrate the title championship in Abu Dhabi while my brother was lying in his sickbed. By fortune, Kolo was at his bedside. After that I blame myself for not insisting and for not making them respect me.

His brother was staying at Kolo's house for the last few weeks of his life, just down the road from him. He saw him regularly.

(I know this as my eldest daughter, who knows Kolo well, was asked to help his wife in the immediate aftermath of Ibrahim's death, and did so. I can say no more for obvious reasons.)
