Any recommendations? or just stay in London itself till nearer kick off?

was in one near the ground a few years back which was alright, was split city/west ham depending what side of the bar you was on, can't remember the name of it though.

Sounds like The Central. Should be ok this time round. Also, The Denmark Arms is supposedly designated an away friendly pub. The Boleyn and The Queens are home fans only and not welcoming to away fans apparently although I've been in both many years back and didn't have any problems.

There's a Wetherspoons at Liverpool Street station. You can get a tube direct to Upton Park from there on the Hammersmith and City line.

Bit fed up of weatherspoons to be fair, they're not the most exciting of places! but cheers for the info

I've been in the Queens a few times and never had a problem. West Ham fans in there were fine. The Boleyn was an experience. Lots of renditions of "Lets go Facking Mental", "Spurs are on their way to.." and a few of the don't mention ones about the rags. I would avoid that one. It was like Mary D's on crack!!

That's The Boleyn on the corner...good pub. Gutted I can't make the game this year!!!

The Black Lion in Plaistow. One stop before the ground. About 15 minutes walk from the ground.

the 50/50 bar is the central, close to the ground and a good laugh if a little small. It's my usual go to pub for West Ham and i'll be in there again for one last time this Saturday.

cheers, I'll head there for a few before the game then

As well as the Blind Beggar, I've been checking out some of London's most iconic pubs and just to mix things up for a change we're going to get another one in before we head over to the pubs near the ground. The Princess Louise near Holborn station is on my radar - it's also a Samuel Smiths boozer so that means cheap beer!
