The whole premise of the question was that winning the trophy wasn't an option, we either lose in the semi to Everton or we lose in the final to Liverpool.
For me I'd take the semi final loss every single time, I hate the red scouse far more than the blue, their fans would be unbearable, as would the media wankathon that would follow. Plus, having been to the Wigan FA Cup Final, travelling all the way down to the shitehole that is Wembley, with the cost and the time it involves, just to lose, is no fun at all.
