Both my lads have ST's and are on cup scheme, will i be able to by them an adult ticket on a junior card if all the junior ones are sold out when it drops to their points tally.
Generally i need 3 seats together for us, not sure the best way to do it.

Well thankfully my original post did not jynx anything and after being robbed by Everton in the last two games, we finally got a bit of luck ourselves. Subcribing to the scheme and going all the league cup games was very much worth it! Super excited for my first Wembley trip. Train fare was £68 which killed me a bit on the inside :l.

Whichever it is, avoid the ones at the side. Unless you can get one of the really posh ones near the half way line.

If you're behind the goal you will be stood up throughout the game. If you're on the half way line you will be sat down.

If you're in between you'll spend the match up and down like a whore's drawers. While people around you spend the match arguing about whether its ok to stand or not.

And avoid the very back of the top tier as it usually kicks off between pissed up blues up there!

The junior prices are junior prices so you wont need to do that.

If all three of you are on the cup scheme, regardless of points, you will get 3 seats together.

It doesn't work like that mate , All tickets can be either adult or junior - if you order junior they will just either stamp the ticket or tear the adult strip off , You will not have any problems you will be fine

I don't think the way this has done is fair TBH. As I'm not a season ticket holder (can't get on cup scheme) but a Citizen Card holder and have been to every single capital one cup match this season surely I should have priority over a season ticket holder not on the cup scheme who hasn't bothered going to any of the matches?

Not on the cup scheme but I am a seasoncard holder with 3500 points desperately hoping I'll be able to get a ticket, I got one two years ago when I obviously had less points so fingers crossed!

Season ticket holders have always had priority and always will, mate.

Perks of having a season ticket

I know. I'm happy I can usually get tickets for most games (bar United and Arsenal last game) I just think when you have clear history of attending all the previous games in the competition there should be some reward for that if we reach the final.
I know it works like that at other clubs. Why not ours?

This is correct but it might help with sales of cup tickets if they did a non season card cup scheme, i.e. they gave similar priority to those that attended every cup match as they do to high points seasoncard holders.

On a historical note, the original perk of a S/T was to be guaranteed an FA Cup Final ticket if we reached a Final and City used to limit the numbers sold to more or less match the allocation for such a Final. IIRC that was only scrapped when we moved to the Etihad.

I've never heard of a football club in England where season ticket holders don't get absolute priority over non-season ticket holders. It's totally par for the course. I've never heard anybody moan about it either, to be honest.

I'd be surprised if they ever did that. One of the reasons people buy Season Tickets is to get ticket priority.

There's no way Swales, Mackintosh, Berstein or anyone would have limited Season Ticket sales back at Maine Road on the 1 in 100 chance of us getting to Wembley. That would be utterly ridiculous. We have operated various voucher , then later ticket stub, schemes, but Season Ticket Holders have always been top of the list. That's why for years we had "1st/2nd/3rd/4th/Regular Year" status.

Can only season card holders get on the cup scheme?

No seasons ticket holders buy a season ticket to the premier league which is a different competition. If they want to go into a cup competition they can opt into that and they should have first priority to opt into that. That's fair.
What isn't fair is a season ticket holder who hasn't bothered to go to any of the cup games getting priority to the final over a citizens member who has in that particular season. It's a different competition.

My mrs is a Liverpool fan and can't usually get to many premier league games. She's been to all the cup games and guess what.. She qualifies for the final. That's fair imo.

Not everyone can get or afford a season ticket. Just like not every season ticket holder can afford to be in cup completions that's why I choose to go to all cups games I can get tickets for and as many premier league matches I can afford.

Season ticket holders should always get priority for away / Wembley. They deserve it. If you're unable to attend regularly then buy the seasoncard and let a friend use it when you can't go.

I've got 5400 points and am not on the cup scheme. I'm optimistic I'll get a ticket ok.

Buying a season ticket with that intention isn't really fair imo. Obviously not everyone can get to every game but if you intentionally buy one just so you get points for games you have no intention of attending is abusing the system. A system that is rewarding monetary input rather than loyalty.

It also adds up to empty seats in great positions and flat atmosphere.
