A big, burly 19 year old striker gave a showing yesterday of the quality that is rolling off the production line. Also, Pellegrini's side will have tougher training games, probably against their own acadamy. A couple of paragraphs from this mornings paper by a journo called Ralph Ellis. Coupled with what was said on MOTD last do you at think that the media are finally realising what is happening at our club.

No they will still bury their heads in the sand even if we won the CL with a full team of youth academy players who had progressed to the 1st team

Of course they realise, but pedalling the well worn shite about City sells more papers and receives more clicks so in the interest of their collective financial turnovers its a case of as you all were.

Personally I couldn't give a rats arse what they think or say, its what I know that matters.

Penny dropped years ago, the collective ignoring of it continues, results read out on gillette soccer saturday yesterday, stelling just said "4-0 win for city, villa in deep trouble etc" no mention of nacho's hat trick.

I wouldn't describe him as a big , burly striker just sounds like the reporter hasn't even seen him.

Who's production line!
It wasn't ours

Whose then if not ours?

Fact is he has represented the club at U19's and the EDS and now the first team.

At any other club he would be regarded as a product of the academy.

Why some of our own want to tow a line rival fans and the media would run with im not too sure?

Not really had a chance to catch up on paper talk etc today, may i just ask, have the media gone mental for Nacho and his hattrick yesterday? you know like they did when Martial came on to the scene and scored a couple of goals.

Ta.

I think some clubs would regard him as an academy product, but if we're being honest he isn't. Great young player, and someone we've improved, and hopefully he'll get better.

I believe he came to us at 16, that's 3 years he has been here, credit where credit is due for getting him to where he is. But the thread is about the media ,or at least a couple of them breaking rank and acknowledging we do have a fit for purpose facility. Like a couple of posters though don't know where the big burly comes from.

From Wiki

Iheanacho was born in Imo.[1] As a youth he represented Taye Academy inOwerri. His performances for Nigeria in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup led to interest from clubs in Europe. Teams following his progress includedArsenal,[10]Sporting Clube de Portugal and Porto.[11] In December 2013 Iheanacho travelled to England to discuss a move to Manchester City. He signed a pre-contract agreement with the club, stating his intent to formally sign for Manchester City on his 18th birthday in October 2014.[12] In the interim, he returned to Nigeria. As the year drew to a close, theConfederation of African Football named him the Most Promising Talent of the Year for 2013 at the CAF Awards.[13]

Iheanacho joined Manchester City's Academy on 10 January 2014. Before the 2014–15 season, Manchester City visited the USA on a pre-season tour. Though still not formally a Manchester City player, Iheanacho joined up with the squad. He played and scored in the first match of the tour, a 4–1 win against Sporting Kansas City,[14] and scored again against A.C. Milan in a 5–1 win.[15] After the conclusion of the tour, Manchester City arranged for Iheanacho to train with Columbus Crew until mid-October.[16] Delays in obtaining a work permit meant Iheanacho was unable to play in England until February 2015

As he was a non-eu minor, It is illegal for us to have signed him before he turned 18.
