agree but for fernando and mangala, if pep decides he cant get a tune out of f and m then ok
Yeah, I'm just guessing based on the attempts to move Mangala earlier on this season. Fernando plays a position Pep cherishes, and I doubt he'd want Fernando as that player.

Bony, Kola, Yaya, and Demi have all been linked with moving.

I'd be surprised if Pep doesn't find a use for Fernando. He's a tactical and disciplined player(something we don't have many of) and he's very reliable with the ball, so I'd be surprised if Pep doesn't at least see him as interesting.

Who would you think was leaving, especially if 5 come in?

Kolarov, Demichelis and Yaya for a start, along with one of the rightbacks (unless he decides to keep one to play somewhere else). I'm not nearly as confident as some people are that Nasri will be popular either as he's ditched far better skillful but sulky attacking midfielders than him. There are a host of others who don't seem very Pep like players to me, Delph being chief among them. Undisciplined, inconsistent passers who run around a lot aren't exactly Pep like midfielders, but he might be moldable, you never know. Mangala will either be discarded or loved, it could go either way depending on what Pep thinks about his ability to learn. There's a lot of people potentially on the chopping block

I'll be amazed if he's here next season. He's not good enough on the ball to play in a Pep team.

Delph and Clichy I'm reluctant to consider because of their homegrown status. If he brings in 5 foreign players, 5 foreign players will have to go.

I agree with your first 3, the question about the other 2 is where I have questions.

He passes the ball to his teammates along the ground, pretty much every time. He also does exactly what the manager tells him to do, which unfortunately isn't that helpful when your manager isn't big on instructions or tactics, but will be very popular with a manager who is. Maybe I'll be wrong, but I'd imagine under a tactics mad manager like Pep we are far more likely to see the Fernando of Porto than we are under a manager like Pellegrini who doesn't seem to care too much about tactics or discipline

Well there's Bony as well who I forgot about, then it's easy to imagine 1 or 2 out of Zaba/Sagna/Mangala/Fernando/Navas/Nasri. Clichy is surely in trouble as well despite his HG status as he's really not up to much with the ball at his feet

I didn't include Zab or Sagna because I had no inclination regarding a RB coming in. But then again he could just promote Maffeo.

I went with Fernando, Bony and Mangala. I could see Zab or Sagna. My sense is that Navas will make the squad.

I think its fair to say that nobody is safe.
Pep is unlike any manager in the prem, trying to guess his plans is like picking lottery numbers.
Next season could be very difficult if there is a lot of comings and goings which makes me think Pep will try and improve what we have( barring toure, kolarov, md) but at least they will have a plan/tactic whoever steps out on the pitch.

I'm hearing Sagna is getting a 12 month contract and it's well deserved IMO.

For me.
OUT and in order of importance for me personally:
Yaya
Navas
Demi
Kol or clichy
Nasri
Bony

IN and in order of importance.
Pogba
Gundogan/Isco
Sane/Neymar
Gaya
A surprise forward that pep calls for
Laporte/stones.

Personally I'd recall denayer and give pep a chance with him and manga. I feel like a CB should be at the tail end of the pecking order. It'd be a dream for me if we could pull in Suarez, Lewa, or Neymar. I'm 99% certain we pull In a major, massive name with Pep coming in and with the China investment. I'm fairly certain it'll be Pogba.

Te
All this speculation is wonderful but if we don't get our act together and qualify for the CL then none of these players will entertain coming to City!
Exactly g

pep may try certain players in different positions Fernando at centre back maybe

Yaya and Otamendi will be the first two big casualties imo. MDM to move back home. Then a refresh of the fullbacks. Fernando has done his job and doesn't deserve to be sold. Can only see him being in trouble if Pep decides to convert the likes of Zab or Otamendi into a holding midfielder.

Lol

and another central defender as I think Mangala is not up to it consistently, not very comfortable on the ball.
With a DM sitting in front of him and with Pep moulding him, Mangala could become world class. He has all the physical and athletic ability.

Too optimistic and quite unrealistic. Thinking again, 3-4 signing sounds the most realistic and reminds me that his isn't FIFA haha ,:)

I don't disagree. That said I think a signing like Neymar, if it would happen, wouldn't count in that 3-4. That would be an opportunistic business opportunity. 3-4 + Neymar would be some summer.
