tackled with the wrong foot on the foul for the free kick goal.
Gave away a penalty, while soft, was ridiculous defending to even give the ref the opportunity, the kid was going nowhere
 
Thought some of the kids showed class and adaptability, especially the two Garcias and Tosin. The set up again let us down allowing Chelski too much time and space for the killer ball to their runners. Fabregas had an absolute field day and was never closed down.
Senior players very poor and against most of the comments on here I would say Kolarov was even worse than Willy. Looked as though he was out sightseeing in the Capital.
Scoreline and second half quite embarrassing.

Agreed. In fact most on here before the match thought we would lose heavily, but doesn't stop a good old rant afterwards by some

Nobody expects them to be starting though, especially all at the same time away at the Champions. But most of them should have been gradually integrated into the first team this season, with substitute appearances when we're winning and maybe the odd start here and there in League Cup games and against lower Prem opposition. No reason that the likes of Barker, Celina and Manu Garcia shouldn't all have had 6-8 appearances this season

I think the level of fitness required and concentration level was something above what are youngsters are used to. However, the experience will be good for them and they'll get stronger and fitter through Pep's training.

To be honest I think the general lack of physical maturity was our main undoing, as you'd expect. Most of the young lads were pushed off the ball a bit often for us to ever really keep the ball for long enough to keep the pressure off us and that inevitably led to us getting tired as the game wore on. That's not a problem to worry about though as it's exactly what you'd expect with that many young players against such a strong physical side. Great experience for them though and hugely encouraging that they weren't afraid to play, even when the game was gone, with only really Tosin showing any nerves on the ball (which he made up for with his defending). Hugely encouraging for the future.
 
Nacho didn't work hard enough today, he didn't put himself around like the other lad up front. To be honest, nothing is surprising me at the moment and Pelligrini's stubborn attitude is getting on my tits. He is a mediocre manager with dinosaur tactics and frankly his loyalty to Demichalis and that bell end in goal is boardering on insanity.
Do we realistically have enough of a shot in the CL to put out that team? I personally don't think so and if we now lose heavily in Kiev and in the final next weekend it is going to be humiliating for everybody we loves this club.
 
A bit embarrassing to be honest.

A fine display from one or two of our youngsters, but overall we'd have struggled to get a result against Stockport County with that line up. There will be plenty who say we've shown a lack of respect to the FA Cup and I would agree with that. We've the square root of fuck all chance of winning the CL and I said before the game today and I'll say again that I think you should play one game at a time and focus on how you will win that game.

We might as well have just forfeited the game today and not bothered turning up. I pity the poor sods who paid good money to support us today.
 
Really thought the kids played well, cant believe the stick that Zabba, Fern and Kolarov are getting. They had to try to keep the kids heads up when Chavs got on top in 2nd half and to be fair they did ok.
Ffs Willie should never play for us again, decent save from pen but hes a liability and doesnt give the back 4 confidence.

Shearer is a twat and i hope fucking barcodes get relegated so the **** shuts the fuck up. We played the kids and lost by the same score as his shite team did.
Pellers only real mistake was playing Willie in goal instead of Joe, as long as we win the cup next week and get decent result in Kiev then his selection was justified.

The first point I get what you're saying but if it's a choice between the FA cup or champions league which one would the club want to win?

As for the second point I completely agree. Both garcias played well too. Was disappointed with Barker when he came on.

We probs would have been better off playing our eds teams today, our senior players were shite.

Agree. He should've followed willians run and as for the first goal I personally thought willy should've come out for the ball. Had that been courtouis or neur they would've got to it imo

Willy made an exceptional save 1st half. 2nd half he saved a pen. The 5th goal dropped out of the sky and was a total fluke.

Did you actually watch the game? Demichellis was a clueless disaster losing Costa and Willian and gifting hoals to a hungry Chelsea. Willy was a joke. Nothing more nothing less. We made Chelsea look like world beaters but it comes down to the incompetence of Pellegrini. Naive selection, terrible formation and tactically useless ehen it was time for change.

There is no chance in hell this team can win CL. Even if we manage to get past Kiev, we will get destroyed by anyone in the next round. FA cup was chance to win silverware, something this club cant brag to have plenty of to just ignore. If this is how he treats FA cup I am scared of what team we will have in Mickey Mouse Cup
