I can't put it into words how good and useful he's been to us this season. Brilliant in both ends and works his ass off in every game.

He's already played CB in a couple of games this season while we're pushing for a win. And last night was the first time(?) I saw him play on the wing. He was still immense and did a great job defensivly while still being able to create more chances than anyone else on the pitch and getting an assist to Yayas beautiful 1-3.

After this performance I can see us starting him on the RW more often, especially in big games. I'm sure he would be doing a great job as a fullback too if played there.

I was always a big fan of Milner and was really sad to see him leave. But with Fernandinhos performances this season it feels like he's an upgraded Milner. Great in many positions and even if he's not at his best he'll always put a shift in and being useful in that way.

I'd love to see more of his offensive qualities and hope to see him start on the RW at Wembley on Sunday.

I know you all love him but where do you want to see him play in the future and how do you think Pep will use him?

I want him to play Centre Midfield.

Pep will play him Centre Midfield.

He's one of the most underrated players in the world, IMO.

I bet Fern could wish for no greater honour than to be regarded as an upgrade on Sir James of Yorkieland!

He is fantastic though

He's so much better than Milner, there's genuinely no comparison. One of our best players and should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Fantastic athlete / footballer.

You can tell he's Brazilian, he's flexible as fuck. The amount of times he goes for a ball which a typical footballer would pull a muscle going for. Definitely does that weird South American fight/dance/yoga thing.

He is by far a much better player than Milner.

For me he was MOTM last night. Great in attack and defence.

Just wish he was a couple of years younger.

Sorry but you`re doing the lad a dis-service.They are nowhere near compatible, with Nando being more than head and shoulders above Milner.

He's been a revelation in my book since he arrived. He hit the ground running and immediately took Yaya's place in our spine (at least for me anyway) We play so much more consistently with him in the team. It's the fact he came out of nowhere for me, I don't know if I'd had my head buried but I'd never heard of him! Now he's one of the first names I look for on the team sheet.

Just a shame he isn't a few years younger :/

Upgraded Milner?
Is that a joke?!?

Fernandinho is WORLD CLASS!!!

Only time he plays badly is when he is ran into the ground because he is undroppable.

He is probably the one player I trust the most to always have a good solid performance, every single time. His lowest is often still high enough, and is in another class entirely than Jimmy.

Mentioning him and Milner together in any way is an insult to Fernandinho...end of.

James M stood out in certain games, and he seemed to have a good rapport with David Silva, but Ferny has half a dozen matches where he's on the top of his game - the only downside being that the rest aren't matching him. I think he's more than an upgrade. He's central to much of what we do. Ferny does it and it goes unnoticed, much like a lot of the work that Nige and GazBaz did!

Excellent last night. That's the best i've seen him since Sevilla away.

I would like to see him play there on Sunday if i am honest. I think sometimes when he plays Central Midfield, he gets a little bit lost in the game. He's not used properly at all and i'm not 100% sure what his role is supposed to be, other than to run around a lot and play it simple. He has far more in his locker than that, as he showed last night. When he stands out in a game, it is nearly always because of his tenacity, and the way he goes about his business is in complete contrast to that of Toure and even Fernando. With the ball, i just don't think he gets to show enough of his ability, and i often think some of his energy is misplaced chasing shadows.

He doesn't contribute to the attacking phase of play very often, and he also doesn't quite fulfill the role of an anchorman, because even when paired with Fernando, teams still cut through us with incredible ease at times. That's not a dig at him because it's not his fault but it all too often feels like his qualities aren't really having a positive effect on the game.

Last night on the other hand, he was brilliant. He offered us so much balance. He has such a good engine and his end product will no doubt improve once he adjusts to being in creative positions. I really think we have stumbled onto something big with him playing there. It also allows Silva to play more centrally so it means Toure gets to play closer to a more technical player, which is what he's needed to do all season. It's no coincidence that despite losing a step, Toure put in one of his strongest displays of the season.

Along with Sterling, he was the best player on the pitch for me. I just hope Manuel keeps it similar for Sunday.
