If Komps, Yaya, Silva & Aguero stay fit until the end of the season we win the league?

Maybe not a ringing endorsement of our transfers since then but these 4 are world class when all on song.

Stay fit guys.

If the TEAM play like they did last night we could win the league mate. Both Ferns, Sterling and Ottamendi were amazing last night, this could be because of our 'fab 4'.

Don't get me wrong we have signed some quality players since then but things just seem to tick when these 4 are in the pitch.

The amount of times we've unable to play all 4 due to injuries last couple of seasons has been so frustrating.

Yeah I get ya mate, keep them 4 fit and playing and we can win the capital one cup and the league and keep going in the champions league.

Aguero, Silva and Kompany are World Class. Yaya was.

If teams give him time and space as Kiev did last night then he can hurt them, but when you play against the better teams you need to work off the ball as well and that part of his game has gone however much he might try.

Yaya could be significant if we used him better i.e. started him against teams we know we will dominate possession wise, or as sub late in games where we know they will be physically demanding.

Kompany makes Otamendi a much better player. They are a very good combination.

Yaya needs the support in midfield of two others though so it all hinges on how many times this manager leaves him out to dry in a midfield two. The less he does that the more we can start thinking about winning games, never mind the title. Once we start winning games on a regular basis we can start thinking about the title.

2nd leg looks easier now and should have less impact on our league season and it will be a confidence booster before the League Cup Final.

I think it would be a mistake to play Toure against Liverpool from the start as that will be a game when we physically can't carry anyone. We need his quality on the ball, but sadly it does come up at price nowadays.

If we beat Liverpool at Wembley then it will be game on in the League. City would come out of that game with a trophy and one foot in the CL quarter-finals

Think Yaya has to play unless we get some of our walking wounded back. We only have 5 fit senior midfielders, so alternative would be to play a youngster or go 2 up top. Not sure I would do either at least to start with. I would set them up exactly the same as last night.

Sorry but you need to make it fab five, because it should include Hart.

I think you need to add in Sterling for 6. He has played big parts in many important wins this season including the first 5 games in a row. When he is on form our left side problem is mitigated by him ocupying the right back . For me i'd lose Yaya before i'd want to lose Sterling!!!

This is clearly the backbone, inc Joe H. There is a mental strength about them when things are going well that transfers to the rest of the team. I think not one of our CBs has had a bad game when they've partnered Vinny, and if Yaya does the business there is a bounce in everyone else. If Silva flourishes, Sergio scores!! These play well and we'd give anyone a good game.

Take any two out, and we develop a form of scoliosis!

He just needs to play close to Silva for me. We get caught up in the fact that he needs legs around him, when i think he needs someone to help him control possession. He had that last night (Silva playing more centrally), and he still had an anchor in behind him.

Just sticking him next to a set of 'legs' has never been the answer and i've no idea why people insist on it. He needs to be closer to the technical players because this allows us a much greater control over possession, and in turn makes us look much better defensively.

Silva and Toure were sublime last night, so comfortable passing between themselves in tight spots. They trust each other completely and when Nasri's back he is in that same boat.

That line-up perhaps with Zabba in for Sagna is as good as it gets when they play like that - but you'd have to find a place for De Bruyne when fit and would be great to have options like Navas on the bench.

Yes we're pretty close to our full strength starting 11 if not a fully fit squad. No idea what Pellegrini will do with De Bruyne if he's fit for the last month or so, although I'm confident of Pep finding a way to get the best out of him.

Here's one, if we have everyone fit what would be your starting 11 for a must win big game??

Struck me last night that there was more communications going on as to when to press. Serge was often looking behind home before going and a few times waved the others forward so we were more a unit. Massively helped by aggression of Vinny and Otter; and don't think I've seen Fernando win so many balls so far up the park.
That's the pattern that's needed for Yaya to succeed. If there's too big a gap between attack and defence he's exposed. That's when we need more legs; but the problem is we aren't effective enough just with that.

-------------------Hart
Zabaleta--Kompany--Otamendi--Kolarov
--------------Fernando
-------KDB--Delph--Fernandinho
----------------Silva
--------------Aguero

Or switch full backs to Sagna and Clichy - I don't think there's much between them. Each got pluses and minuses

In that case, lets make it 7 and add DeBryune. King Kev is the bees wax.

Then there is Mr consistent Dihno. Which makes it the Fab 8. Add Clichy, Sagna and Otamendi, and you have your 11 :)
