Ferdinand on BT Sport

Oh dear, doing a recant for Frank. lol. BT's decision making and management performance was A+ Marketing Objectives Fully Met. Punditry likewise, carefully briefed, researched and primed to disrespect our club in every way possible, even though we achieved an impressive and record breaking victory. I thought you'd lost your blindfold Dave, but it wasn't for long was it?

Sorry George, this is where I leave the conversation. The reds-under-the-bed paranoia is for others.

The vast majority of last night's viewing audience were supporting Manchester City.

I concur with all that. Definitely no agenda at BT although I have no doubt some will suggest it.

The worrying thing is 'poor punditry' is now the norm, the standard across all areas of the media. It could be argued 'poor punditry' is what people now want. Why else would we see the rise of talksports, popularity of the tabloids as papers like the Independent struggle. Different readership/listener now wanting contoversy, soundbites but when its about your own team its infuriating.

Perhaps BT chose these pundits to ensure they got the response and coverage that they wanted. Surely as City were the only team playing last night they could have got in pro-City or at the very least neutral pundits. Instead they chose 2 ex-Unted players and one ex-Liverpool player albeit he did end his career at City but I know no-one who would consider McManaman as ex-City

BT must know what sort of line these pundits were likely to take as lets be honest they have form over this year and maybe this is a line BT wish to maintain

As we must acknowledge when it comes to numbers we cannot complete with United Arsenal and Liverpool and so the media outlets know this and so have no interest in bigging up City as a negative view will resonate better to those masses. As we continue to be successful and with the passage of time this will change

I dont believe it is an agenda specific for us, it is a combination of poorly selected pundits who have started out badly and are getting worse at their new jobs and they took a bit of a punt on a poor city performance and built it up that way so as to look clever and insightful after the event. They took a punt (with biased pundits only to happy to oblige) and got it wrong. The end result was piss poor negative coverage. As i said earlier they will not get anywhere with ratings if they carry on like that. Vote with your feet (or your remote)!

That is an absolute mystery. Undoubtedly Shearer and Owen as a kid were great footballers but were never known as having much of a personality so you wonder how they could have possibly got these roles.

Ferdinand is clearly lacking intelligemce and seems to have a free pass to do what he wants. Based on his history and behaviour you would never expect him to get a public facing role.

And nor would you expect a woman beating, dogging enthusiast to get the opportunity to spout his bile on national radio. Oh, hang on....

It's not accidental friend, the agenda is carefully planned and executed by the media allies of our rivals. These parasites grow fat by pandering to the largest fanbases and they do that by attacking us at every opportunity with lies, smears and negative reporting

BT`s usual suspects were bad, but Roy the **** keane over on ITV made them look like lifelong City fans with his verbal bile.

Keane and Dixon were both terrible. No positives, no credit for the performance. It was all because Kiev were poor. That rhotacistic twat on talksport only wanted to rant about the disrespect we'd shown towards the FA cup.

That was ridiculous last night in the pre-match coverage. Literally not a single positive thing said about City.

Ferdinand is barely literate so god only knows why they thought he'd make a good pundit, particularly for a City game. Pleasingly, he seemed genuinely gutted at half time.

I fucking detest camelgob. His pre-match analysis of our 'defensive troubles' and how we would struggle last night mainly consisted of showing clips of mistakes by Demichelis and Mangala, neither of whom, as he knew at the time of said analysis, were playing in Kiev.

At another point, one of the panel said something about Joe being busy and camel piped up, "Yeah, he will be".

Well, you got that one right, didn't you, you ugly, thick rag wanker?

I'm sorry I have to disagree with you there, Keane was trying desperately to be negative about us but Dixon was laughing at him and Keane had to admit we were good. The most negative they were was about YaYa and that was more along the lines of him being erratic, which is a lot lighter criticism than some I have seen about YaYa on here (& yes, some I have written myself on here about him turning up when he wants to). I dislike Keane intensely but Dixon had him bang to rights.

I thought that and said as much to Mrs Vienna.

He was choking on his words praising our performance.

Not sure what you were watching but Dixon was every bit as bad as Keane.

He knows utd are shit now and it is kind of fun in hindsight seeing him hate us so much he has to just make cheap jokes, however the standard on BT has hit an all time low and Lineker is being dragged down to their level when he should be dragging them up to his
