Capital One Cup Final - post match thread

I wanted willie, ,,and zab &kolarov too but I was proven wrong on the last 2 ,and i am even more
Proud to be a cityzen when so many can admit that they could have been wrong,
Because now Hart could feel the pressure of matching willies worldclass performance.
But we all know that will even make him better...

Brilliant!

Beating those Scouse fuckers is a great feeling. We could have easily won the game in 90minutes, we missed some absolute sitters! But the drama of City would never allow that would it?

Not the most entertaining game and it was a terrible atmosphere but it was certainly tense and the penalty shoot out was unreal!

Great to win the trophy!

Drank too much and in work in an hour :( but the win will make that easier

No matter what he's done in the past or what he'll do in the future, Willy Caballero might not be a particularly good 'keeper but he was absolutely brilliant yesterday and will go down as a club legend for that performance!

You put ya willy in
Ya willy out
In out in out
You shake it all about
You do the caballero
And you turn around
That's what it all about!

Oh willy caballero
Oh willy caballero
Oh willy caballero

He won us the league cup
ra ra ra!

Cheers, it puts a different spin on it.

Do you have a link to this?

Has anybody got the clips of Kompany going over to the Liverpool players right after the pens AND Noel Gallagher putting Jamie Carragher straight after the game in a live interview.

These 2 clips everybody talking about after but I can't find em on youtube anywhere, cheers.

In the Trophy/Post match section,24 mins in. Noel Gallagher interview

He sometimes comes across as a stubborn man Pellegrini, but this old dog is still learning new tricks!
Playing Willy, when the head screamed for Hart, and tweaking the formation to counteract Klopp's Blitzkreig was just what we had hoped for, Fernandinho's form this season has been superb, and again his agility and surging box to box runs gave us real bite, David Silva looked his old self this week too, and Yaya found his beast mode again.
If we weren't going to blitz Liverpool with a 3-0, this was arguably the more satisfying to get revenge for the 4-1 defeat, snatching victory from their grasp, and pummelling them in the shoot out!
If we can repeat the same performance midweek, maybe those hatful of chances will nestle happily in the net for Sterling, and Aguero will run riot.

Anyone noticed after Navas scores his pen he booted the ball down the pitch to waste more time for Coutinho

Anyone noticed after Navas scores his pen he booted the ball down the pitch to waste more time for Coutinho

He didn't do it deliberately, he launched the ball into the air, and when it came down it hit the metal frame around the perimeter of the pitch to stop crowd invasions, and pinged off down the ground. Big up for Jesus there, always comes across as a bit nervous, but he stepped up, buried it, and went a bit mad after!!
