Capital One Cup Final - post match thread

I'm in tears over here in Australia, cannot believe what's just happen brilliant absolutely brilliant and a big THANK YOU to Willy Caballero...........well done guys
I am a city fan from sweden on holiday in adelaide, and the sky has never been so blue.....aussie aussie, willie willie willie. ...

Telegraph forgot to edit their "Liverpool beat City" sub heading haha.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...d-how-did-Willy-Caballero-steal-the-show.html

Talksport were gutted to, at the end with a steadily lowering tone "the fairy tale of Klopps Liverpool was not to be" no mention of us winning it for a good while.
Will happily never use the station again now even in emergencies such as today.

We deserved it, dippers were shite.

Incredible!.....

"How were Manchester City able to overcome Liverpool at Wembley, and how did Willy Caballero steal the show?
Analysis and reaction from Wembley, where Liverpool overcame Manchester City on penalty kicks to win the Capital One Cup at Wembley Stadium"

Thanks fumble on phone atm so copy and paste would be a pain for me just now.

You can almost picture Bascombe highlighting the text he had ready and deleting it with a wince at each click on "delete" bwahahahahahahhahaah

Big kudos should also go to Navas. He stepped up to take that second crucial penalty kick - and we all know how many open goals he has missed this season - but he nailed this one and set us on course for the victory. Praise be to Jesus.

Just seen the pre penalty shoot out team talk on Sky.

Klopp screaming like a lunatic trying to get his players pumped.

Pellegrini just chilled out and calmly talking to his players.

Just like Kompany said, when they scored the team were calm and serene. It all comes from the top down so well done to the management for creating this atmosphere of calm
well spotted Blue

Yesterday was another great day for the club but the kind of abuse and criticism i read in pre match thread after caballero name was announced on teamsheet was horrendous to say the least, you all are entitled to your opinions but you could do it without abusing the manager and players

absolute fantastic day and another trophy in the cabinet. The first half was a little cagey and no one could take control of the game, we had multiple chances to put the game to bed but the longer that went on you could feel Liverpool nicking an equaliser

he boys did great and a massive shout to Willy Cabellero who became a penalty hero and Pellegrini fully justified again for his decision on that one

cancel the victory bus you scousers ha haaa : )
